How Much is My Grandma's GOLD Tooth Worth? Gold Appraisal

In this video I take my grandma's gold tooth to the coin shop for an appraisal. I also brought some gold shot, a gold chain, and a small gold coin to the coin shop for appraisal. How much is this gold tooth worth? I was able to get a price on the gold tooth, the gold shot, and the gold coin. The gold chain ended up being a fake gold chain. In this video we talk about the value of gold coins, and other gold items. Gold chains and other gold jewelry is considered scrap gold. Scrap gold is usually bought below the melt value of gold and is then sold to a refiner. When it comes to gold shot is in not labeled and hard to verify the purity so gold shot is not advised for stacking or gold investing. If you want to invest in gold I recommend buying gold coins and gold bars. Below are the other videos filmed at Harry's Coin Shop:

I’m a dentist, and WOW Harry knows his stuff. Gold alloys used in crowns in dentistry are made of Gold, Silver, Platinum, and Palladium in small quantities. We get orders for Gold Grills and Crowns a lot, guess people really love their gold. Haha

That was a lot of fun to watch. A few years ago I sold a gold watch case. It was 18K gold and while you don't get great returns on this stuff due to the processing I was able to use the proceeds and buy actual recognisable gold with it. Thanks, SD!

These videos are among the best in the Internet because they provide so much useful information. The gold bar story is interesting because there is a current video from a Portland, OR coin shop where a young woman brought in two gold bars. Those were not only too thick, they would not pass a Sigma test. When they told her they wanted to notify police, she booked with only one of the bars. As I recall, those bars were in plastic on cardboard and were supposed to have come from a large online dealer.

My second question is about titanium. Not that I wanna get rid of it but my hip happens to be titanium. there about 4 pounds of titanium and one artificial hip. Does this have actual retail value?

Often times 10kt will not pass on the clasps. You have to check the chain itself. Sometimes a magnet will even stick in the clasp. It still may very well be 10kt but I’ve seen this happen and one place won’t take it and the other places who are educated on this fact will.
