Hmmm, I was born in Southern Africa and married to a Ghanaian husband presently living in London and I must say it's very sad to see small gulleys being called "roads" in the middle and high density suburbs in Ghana, surely the Ghanaian government can do better than this. The minister of Roads and Construction needs to ensure that roads are constructed first even before land can be sold to individuals. Three quarters of the videos I've watched on KZread with regards to land for sale, the roads are not tarred, they're like small gulleys. Basically the infrastructure is terrible. Watching that video there are old houses in the area and that makes me wonder if these roads have ever been touched at all. Tarred roads should not only be available in affluent suburbs but also in medium and high-density suburbs. I'm very interested in purchasing land in Accra, Ghana but the infrastructure puts me off completely when I watch these videos. It's none of your fault my dear and thanks for sharing.

In Ghana when people buy or build a house near a rough road they, some of them usually just fix that part of the road up themselves but its expensive and unfair. The government really needs to fix up in regards to the state of these roads. Its not fair for citizens to have to fix them up themselves

Your Royal Highness 👑 Accra is definitely not cheap, it's a bustling city. I know many of us in the diaspora want to return home (I'm of Jamaican 🇯🇲 culture and heritage) a descendant of the Kidnapped and enslaved rebellious ones). I LOVE YOUR CHANNEL. I know to move quickly one has to be prepared to go into the outside villages. Land can be much cheaper. I purchased land in 2016 for our charitable project at £475 50x50 in The Gambia 🇬🇲 in Ghana 🇬🇭 back in 2018 we were shown land near an orphanage we also advocate for (Padro Pio Rehibilitation Centre), near to Cape Coast and Kakum National Park from as little as £1000. I know for 20k one could start a small compound, but DEFINITELY NOT in the main cities. can't wait till I'm back home 😭 Wherever it takes. If you can I know they're very far out, but show these as not all will be able to afford cities like Accra. Remain Royal and Loyal 💋👑

I got land in Nsawan Ghana for £7000 for 8 plots. One plot is 100 by 70. I intend to do a homestead include livestock. I am under the impression i got a good deal. Well at least its cheaper than what I would have paid in Jamaica. Born in Jamaica live in UK. I just need a peaceful change.

See... I dont like their math. Go check the exchange rate on the day they sign the contract. I'm not sure if they have escrow there or the bank could hold the deposit until closing. They want tou to pay more than the actual price. Rule of thumb.... 15,000 land price in Ghana currency is roughly 1,500 in us dollars. I'm not sure where the math comes from....but it's not right.

Does buying the land mean you automatically have permission to build a house(s) on it,? - because you certainly dont in the UK

Yes. But u will need a building permit from the District assembly first before u can do any building on it. Without the building permit, the government can pull it down

abena asante ok - so if building is your intention you need to get oermission for the build first. Essentially the same thing. Do building plans have to be approved also?

Everyone is trying to make a profit. You have to go yourself and negotiate with the land owners personally.. Unless you don't mind paying a lot more. To each their own...
