Would love to do this but funny enough I can’t get 274 days of work.

Those who can afford it can also afford smaller ships with more luxury.

274 days??? Wow! That's a LOT of luggage!

That's like $445 per day for an inside cabin. Insane. Seems like they put this out more for PR than actually attracting cruisers. I'd rather do 40 b2b 7 day cruises(280 days)…for likely under $80K.

I’ve pretty much done that. Only so much south pac and carib you can see. Then you are just burning money to be on the ship. And if that’s awesome for you then more power to you (errm Mario). This is going to places I thought were beyond my reach. When you factor in other costs you don’t have. Cancelled phone, no utility, little food, entertainment costs) you can probably knock $20-50k and so actual cost is less. Put home on Airbnb or short term rental. Sell car (sitting around for 10 months not good for the car) So many ways to bring down the actual cost. Im all in on this. One shot. Carp diem and all that.

We are some of the biggest cruise fans out there. Cost aside, and with a Jr suite, 274 days is a lot of time without a break. We are doing a 29 day cruise on Viking, in June, and that’s enough. I would do several “smaller” trips.

The boss said to his worker after just coming back from his world cruise: you know what? If you work very hard this coming year, I get to go on another world cruise next year! 🤣🤣🤣

Wow...$200K plus and it wouldn't even get you halfway to the top tier in their loyalty program. I think I'll stick to the cheap cruises even if I win the lottery.

You said 200k so I’m assuming you’re talking about the junior suite. Their top tier is pinnacle club, that’s 700 points. In a junior suite you get 2 points per night so that would be 548 points so that’s more than halfway. And if you’re in a junior suite by yourself, that 3 points per night (822 points) so you would be at their top tier

Don World Cruises have around for years I remember booking people years ago via US through the Panama canal to UK through the Med the transit Suez canal India and round the coast of Australia to Sydney lots of sea days. You need the right ship and be highly organized

The prices include 5 star hotel and gala day before, business class airfare, internet, ultimate drink package, laundry, etc.

Interesting cruise. I'm been looking at it, but I'm not sure I could handle being on a ship that long. It would require a lot of discipline to make sure you hit the waling track daily and avoid the buffet and snacks.

I looked at 180 day cruise on Queen Mary 2, for a,suite it was $200,000 plus as im single. I love the idea of the 274 day cruise as it encompasses alot of places and for a person that has never had a holiday or been anywhere, its the perfect way to go.

Those prices are Very high v per day. Let alone adding on all the fees. There are better deals out there for World cruises

Thought i saw taxes and ports fees were 5000 USD. Tips were included and they take you to the seven wonders of the world, included. I was calculating per day charges and how many days, 9 months in the one room. But every day a different view, it is a nice dream though.

as a traveller blogger Don should know this - plus you need excursion costs and so much more. I have a friend who has done it twice. took her and her mom with their retirement money. she went on the (almost one year one).

when I was younger my family went on 2 world Cruises back to back but on the P&O line.... three months on one cruise and 3 months on another cruise..... I was fairly young so I'm going to be honest and say I don't remember most of it 🤣....

I’ll tell you what I am very surprised by that he did not pick a ship that has solo travelers cabins on it

a lot of stuff to bring vitamins meds stuff you may not be able to find at short notice !

After my aunt lost her husband she went on a cruise. Think it was carnival. She had to pay for two people even though it was just her. She had a balcony. Tips for the year was 10k her room was 133k taxes and port fees was about 1100 per month. It was her first cruise and cor the first two weeks she was sick. She lives it though. She met so many amazing people. Now this was in 2013. She doesnt regret it. I'm lucky to do 7 days every few years.

No thanks. That would be waste of money 💰 and plus I don’t have that kind of me. Might as well toss the money out the window.

I called because I’m interested in doing a part of it and all the suites are already booked and they may not open the 4 smaller parts of the cruise up because it’s selling so good as a whole.

I love the Serenade of the Seas and am planning on going on 2nd leg of cruise if its not sold out by then.

We were on serenade recently...gorgeous ship, beautiful. Noticed a lot of rocking side to side even in calm seas. Asked waiter if he would do the world cruise and was shocked when he said, "no, too much rocking." Had to agree, wouldn't want to be on her in rough seas . Just saying. ❣

That's not bad if you have the money to spend.... assuming u do a balcony that is approx$300 per day per person....an8 day Alaska cost us $325 per person per day....it is extremely long BUT for maybe those retired with plenty of time this is actually a good deal.. IMHO. If we where retired yet this would most definitely be booked already.....here's to hoping they have some great ones Ike this in 17 yrs🤷😊

If you are not on the whole cruise you dont get all the perks plus you are not accepted by the niners. If you want to do a 154 day Regent world cruise it is 96000 each minimum

On 2nd thought, I could enjoy many more cruises if I won the lottery. I think maybe some transatlantic, European, the Med, repositioning cruises, and regular shorter ones would be more bang for my buck! I'd also include time between some to see the places I've always wanted to go on land. Yes, just decide on a spur of the moment, within testing time, and go!!! THAT'S THE TICKET!!!

The 4 individual segments that the cruise is broken down to cannot be booked until December and the rep told me it will be sold out by then. All of the future World Cruises sell out quick BUT we all know, the fall out on these type cruises is hefty considering how far out they are, health, family circumstances, world events, and other more enticing offerings. Personally I would be hesitant due to no proven track record with a World Cruise. Also, I think Celebrity would have been the better option to enter this sector.

OMG! WOW...that's really expensive.

We could do 60 days perhaps. If the casino offers us a free cruise with a suite, perhaps we'll go. I doubt this will be sold out or even close to it.

Actually, by the 50th day of the cruise (if not before), you might be more interested in fruit platters and crudites than you think. At least that is how I would be.

Having done on Cunard World Cruise Segments in an inside cabins, that is still a lot of money. One was from Dubai to Southampton for 19 days, and one from Sydney to San Francisco 28 days. It did look like some people did the whole 100 day cruise with a inside cruise. Would love to see the itinerary.

I loved a recent 18 day cruise from Auckland to Tahiti on Oceania but was exhausted by the end of it. I simply can't imagine one 15X longer. Add in 22 hours in the air getting there and 2 days to get home because of a missed connection even made it worse. It took me more than a week to recover at home.

It's about 39 7 day cruises in one, but pricy 7 day cruises at $1550 PP

That is very expensive... I'm cruising with MSC and one of the new ships for 28 nights for the price of $2,700 for a balcony cabin single and a double room. That is less than 5th of the price

Goes through Rome, France, Italy, Canary Islands, crosses the Atlantic to the Southern Caribbeans and finishes at fort de France. Not affordable for most, but, would you consider it if absolutely everything was included? (Taxes, fees, excursions, drinks, specialty dining, gratuities, shore hotels, etc.)

Just wait for special deals. Maybe 2000 USD in total then last minute.

Just got off RCL for 5 days from Tampa.. couldn't wait to get off. Wouldn't take this cruise if it was free. Happy sailing to anyone who loves this line, but not for us. 2nd cruise for us hoping it would be better than first . Very disappointed twice. 😥

From personal experience, RCL has become the Grayhound Bus of the seas.

274 Day Cruise with an Inside Cabin , does not sound all than muck FUN ,... But if that's what You would like have Fun and Enjoy...

$122k and that doesn't even get you on the ship because of the port fees etc.. Don: start a contest on who can guess the port fees and the closest to the # gets a t-shirt! On the bright side, if you are a solo traveler and can do the whole 9 months, that is enough time to meet someone on board, go through all the stages of the relationship and have the wedding a few days before the end of the cruise. RCL should pay for the wedding at that point.

@Panda Rush -- port fees are what the cruise line pays to dock at the port -- think of it like when you go to the city and have to pay a parking meter or parking lot attendant... just a few dollars more ...

@@pandarush. This is not the time to go if you have never cruised before (In my opinion) hopefully in the future, all these COVID rules will go away and you can enjoy a stress free vacation , but I am not counting on it 😞

I figure the true cost of a cruise is roughly double the advertised fare.

The JR Suite, is the same cost as Crystal's "Round the World, by Private Jet."

$61k per person for 274 nights is $222/day. If paid in full by Jan 6 2023 its about 200$/day. This doesn't include port and taxes(additional $4,666). However it does include your air fare and hotel stay and some kind of "Gala"( not my jam). But I do have money saved for a new car and I said to myself....hmmm can my jeep go a few more years? And minus the money I spend on gas prices and groceries I think I can make one leg of the trip.I'm retired and 70y old soooo YOLO

Most people don't understand how Business expenses work. It just means you don't have to pay taxes on that amount of money, you still have to pay for the trip. Even as a vlogger you would never make enough to cover the cost of the trip even after the deduction. Also I doubt there are very many people interested following a vlogger on a cruise for 274 days. days. "Hi guys, here is me eating lava cake again day 130..."

@@NickJacksonusa Yes, I understand it's a tax deduction, not a free trip, but the taxes on $120,000 is not insignificant. Plus, you would cut a lot of other expenses. I mean, some vloggers do it full time, and post videos every day no matter what's going on, and with 150 stops there's at least that many days of new content. It'd be a lot of work, and require a huge outlay of money, but at least you'd have the time to work on things between ports.

The $$$ seem insane huh? My guess is they will sell out all available staterooms. Quickly. Plus all that onboard revenue.

This is a cruise that is for people who have more Dollars than Sense!

*ONLY $158,000* I can do that It would be very strange to pay that much for a cruise when I didn't even pay *$58,000 let alone $158,000 for my house*

I’m sure most of those Cruise Ships only have about 30-40 percent of their rooms with paying customers. That’s why they have to charge you twice for being a single… I can’t imagine how much food they throw in the garbage from the buffets and desserts 🍮.

for 450. per day for a balcony is not just rediculous its insane...its cost more per day then the regular price..if I paid 200 per day like normal it would be more affordable to more people. At that rate it would be just under 55,000 now at that rate how many would do the 274 days?

Honestly, I did a 28-day Seabourn cruise in an owner’s suite in 2010, and…it ruined ‘normal’ cruising for me forever, lol…but even in the lap of luxury…it was still just too long. I missed my dogs 🐶

My question is it it one ship or four different ships? Can't seem to find it anywhere? Which ship.

$224,000 no taxes or port fees. That’s a house in some but few states. Hey. For anyone that can do it comfortably, go for it. Well Don, if you didn’t do all the 3-8 days in between, you could do a 60 day. But you run a business and need to get home sometimes. Would be amazing though.

@@KissesFromCanada I thought unbelievable too. But some of those shows on HGTV like Good Bones, Fixer Upper etc. Even House Hunters. Or Lottery Dream Home with David Bromstad. They feature affordable homes. Florida, Texas, mid west and north. It’s not gonna be 4000 sq ft home with all the upgrades but something nice.

That's 50 per day that's not bad it you have the money.

We love to do longer cruises but that's too long. So far 68 days is the longest cruise we've done.

Don, start a “Go fund me” account. Who knows! You might get enough funds to go on that world cruise.
