Most average men still live with their parents are their mom at the age of 25 to almost 30 years old but not u all and I would not be surprised if most of ur HATERS have a lot to do with MEN. You said something real important, excepting loads and having a good relationship with your fleet manager. You have to have that understanding with each other and in return everything runs smoothly.

What have I learned from watching this lady's videos? I have learned that most of the time the best man for the job is a woman. Much respect to you!

If you have haters that means you're doing something right.

Ma'am, I've been doing this for 34 years. What everyone needs to realize, is you're the captain of your own ship. If you ain't making money, then you need to figure out WHY. Everyone knows what their expenses are, personal and business. You've got to watch your fuel. If you're able to drive at 70 and you do it all the time, then you're burning $'s out of that tailpipe. Slow down, find a speed that gets you there the fastest AND provides you with good fuel economy. The biggest expense you have in this industry, aside from a truck payment, is fuel, followed by insurance. How much fuel you use is under your direct control, the other two are not. Want to be able to make that 600 mile run happen at 63 mph, keep the left door closed. Hustle. As the captain of your own ship, you have to discipline YOURSELF. That means get you a maintenance account set up for unexpected things such as blow outs. Add some to make sure you've got enough in there at any given time to replace all your drive tires and steer tires. When you do replace them, replace the $'s and don't touch it except for repairs. Want to put chicken lights all over your truck? Don't, until you have enough in your maintenance account, business account and personal accounts to cover your ass. My maintenance account requires a minimum of $10k. My business account can't drop below $5k. My personal account can't get below $2k and my rainy day account doesn't get below $4k. I also have a personal credit card at $5k and a business one at $5k. Those are back up emergency funds. You can make money as lease/purchase or in your own truck/trailer under your own authority, but YOU answer to yourself at the end of the day, no one else. I'll tell you straight off the bat, my boss is an absolute a**hole. Considering I am my own boss, I can say that, but then I look out over the land I own, the vehicles that are paid for, the toys that are paid for and figure, it's worth it to be disciplined, because even in this crappy economy, you can make money. Not as much as before, but still enough to get by. Got to save during the good times to make it through the bad. I agree with you ma'am, you look at your monthly average, but always know what you should be doing gross weekly to get you where you want to be. I've enjoyed the couple of videos I've watched of yours and I think you have an exceptionally good grasp of what's important. I'm extremely proud of every person that gets out here, doesn't make excuses and just gets stuck in to it, like you. Fantastic. Keep up the good work! I'm lease/purchase at another outfit, although I've pulled for Prime before. Only complaint I had about Prime is one of my managers didn't make me as much as the other one did 😂

I own my truck it's 100.00 balloon payment.It was a 3 or 4 year option.I paid mine off in less than 3 years.

I'm the same way. What may work for one may not work for the other. Don't let anyone tread on your beliefs and decisions. Your mindset with your Financials is you and Noone else. At least with being a lease your nit forced dispatch as a company driver would be. I'm 60 years old gave up the OTR life in 2016 when the wife passed . I'm local now. But the best to you, young lady. Prime is a major player in trucking and has the necessary leverage to secure good loads for their drivers. I can appreciate this sister for stepping out, teaching, empowering and motivating our trucking community. Now for a comparative analysis from an 18 yr trucker. Given the current economy hee rates are good and she has no secondary expenses, i.e. repairs, arrears with company. Lastly her settlement was over $3k vs 3 loads and $6200 in revenue with a 2024 truck with an Apu. Not to mention her truck creates disposable income by educating you naysayers 😅😅. She winning, winning. Let's lift her up instead swinging at her kneecaps...

This is Renegade Hi: in 1998 I went to prime with 8 months experience, stay for 5 years, and what I learn at prime has last me for 27 years and i've payed off 4- trucks of my own. Those same haters was saying the same thing back 27 years ago when I was where you are. Keep your head up and dont look back, look ahead!

Keep doing your thing I run tanker with prime and money's good with prime. I heard things from other companies but this works for me best of all prime has plenty of contracts to keep us moving while lots of other companies are sitting around days at a time
