I'm currently a first year medical student at Duke University. This is how much 4 years of medical school will cost for me, which is rather representative of the total cost of attendance of a private medical school in the United States.
Here is a link to the recommended student budget by my university from which I got most of these figures:

Interest payments were assuming a 5.28% on the first $20,500 per year as Federal Direct Unsubsidized Loans and the remainder at 6.28% as Federal Direct PLUS Loans
Note: For those that are new here, I'm not a doctor (yet). I'm currently a first year medical student at Duke University.

@@chandlerloshbaugh3026 Depends on the video and day, probably 1-4 hours start to finish for everything.
is there a calculator for total cost, assume is 100k each year and you pay in 15 yrs and do not start paying until you graduate in 4 years.
Almost a $1 million? Seriously? But wait, that’s on account of borrowing 100% correct? The average debt is like $200k no? Even $500k seems a bit much.

Yes, median is about $200k (Average is probably less because 29.9% graduate with zero medical school debt). In 2020, only 3.8% of graduates graduated with more than $400k in debt and 15.0% with >$300k. Stay tuned for a follow-up up video about how medical students typically pay medical school such that not that many pay the $371k all by themselves.
im going to pa school and ill be in total with undergrad included around 200,000 and thats without interest. having second thoughts about medicine. I start in 4 days so....too late now.

So you don’t think it’s possible to get a full ride to Harvard :( ?

I don't think so taking a quick look on their website. Full tuition probably possible if you have an estimated family contribution of $0.
