    Really great breakdown on the pricing of the GT350 from your experience, especially living in SoCal. Very honest and transparent with the costs. I’m in search of one myself also living in SoCal but like you said these dealers are ridiculous with their markups. Any recommendations on how to approach the dealers with allowing minimal markup? Preferably looking into the 2017, the 2018 model is not of my personal taste

  • @yooseemotoringchannel3357

    @yooseemotoringchannel3357

    One thing is to see how long that one specific gt350 has been sitting in their lot. Mine was sitting in their show room for 6 months plus. Longer its been in there, more likely they would like to make the deal. Second, when you walk in, be very up front about your intentions, and ask for sales manager (even better would be general manager). Tell them that you already have finances ready and approved, and willing to take that car off their hand today if deal is made. Give them your number and stand firm on it. If they say it cant be done, then simply tell them to call you if they change their mind, and walk away. Always remember to tell yourself that you dont need this car, but they need to sell it to you. Ball is always in your court.

    The Value has dropped, I have been looking at 2016 to 2017’s and with used miles between 1500 to 7000 going for 43 to 50,000 dollars, with the Gt 500 coming out , except the price to drop even more. Great informative video.

  • @yooseemotoringchannel3357

    @yooseemotoringchannel3357

    5 жыл бұрын

    value of these cars will always drop to certain extent. with it being a specialized NA motor that won't be produced again once the production ends, it will hold it's value just fine. it'll probably dip down to high 30's, then slowly bounce back up once this engine is no longer in production. GT500 also only comes w/ DCT. GT350 has plenty of exclusivity for value retention.

    @yooseemotoringchannel3357

    i'm changing oil every 5k miles. I think 3k miles is overshot, unless you don't daily the car, and car racks up miles with mostly heavy footed driving. I currently have 16xxx miles on the car, and tires still have 20~25% threads left. If you don't track the car or do burnouts, normal PSS should last 20k miles no problems.

    love the car buddy. white is a great color. it seems it wouldn't be that much more expensive to maintain than my Audi A4. I've been looking into buying a muscle car like a dodge challenger 392 T/A. however I've seen a few GT350's and they look real nice not to mention the sound. I saw one used 2016 Red with white stripes 9,800 miles with the tech package but not the track package for $49,999 what do you think?

    For a 2 yr old gt350, id try to haggle that price down to 45k ish. If you plan on tracking your car, id strongly advise you against tech pkg 2016 model, since it doesnt have diff cooler that seems to overheat during heavy track use. Newer models come w all coolers stock. If you dont track your car, then its good choice. Little too much $ id say. Btw my car is avalanche grey :)

    I think both cars are great choice. M4 will be better daily than gt350, as it's more reflined and has more luxury. however Gt350 can be daily driven w/o any real issue other than bad gas mileage. Gt350 will be much more exciting weekend warrior when you get on it, or take it to track day events. It's manual tranny has great feel compared to bmw manuals. the noise has no comparison, gt350 engine sound alone makes you smile everytime you drive it. M4 will feel much more dull compared to that. gt350 will retain better value over time as well. both has pros and cons. hope you make best decision.

    Tyler check for history of engine replacement. Make sure to wait till oil temp is over 170 before reving above 3k. Do proper oil change w proper tq spec on oil filter. Do it yourself if possible. Majority of failures on these seem to come from dealership mechanic not doing a proper maintenance on the car. Check if there is any coolant leaks. The car is fine as long as its been properly maintained, which most don’t seem to know how.

Today my commute isn't nearly as bad, but still a good 60 mins each way. 2) You broke down the numbers cleanly. 3) Good for you not paying ADM around here. I'm looking out of state because the dealers in LA think this car cries unicorn tears that cure cancer. A dealer in LA I recently stopped by had $30k ADM on a _normal_ GT350 (non-R). Good advice on not going to the dealership. I have the same car 2017 GT350, I took it to the dealership to get the diff fluid and cabin filter changed just for preventive maintenance and some jack wad that worked there bumped a F250 into my rear bumper and scratched the paint!! Low dust pads may be fine in daily routine, but put them through 30 min of constant full on braking, and they will literally fall apart.

    There are a lot of variables for payments. I.E how much is down payment, interest rate on loan, length of the loan terms, final negotiated price on the vehicle. what you really want to ask is how much did I pay for my car, and whats my interest rate. I paid $3k over sticker, and interest rate was 1.9% over 60 mo. All in all my pmt is about $650 per mo. I believe I financed just about $35k of it. rest was down payment.

    Tbh It's heavily dependent on how you treat your car. My car has never given me any problems. maybe about a quart every 4~5k miles. which is very normal for these types of high rev NA motors. There will always be few sour apples. and those owners will be the ones to speak out on forums. Majority of owners that have no issues, won't say much. This car takes a long time to heat up oil to it's operating temperature. many people ignore this, and simply start revving and pushing the car. Some think when water temp is up, the car is ready to go. Some people take the car to dealership for oil changes, and they put in not enough oil, or don't torque down the filter to spec, then things start to leak. To me, as long as you take good care of the car, it won't have any issues. it's just people get too excited and gas pedal happy, when they jump in this car, and they can't wait till things are ready to go. I'd say go for it. Voodoo motor will be cherished in the future, when this gets discontinued. It really is one of last special NA V8. Reason why I firmly believe it will retain value very well in 5~10 yrs. possibly even appreciate in value.

    Angel Guttierrez 47k is high. You can find one at around 40k. Credit score doesn’t matter in most cases. Bad credit score will just get you higher interest rate for ur loan, if you need one. Id personally never buy a car w loan interest rate higher than 3.5%. I have good credit, so my interest rates are usually in 1.9 range

    My monthly pmt has no relevance to someone else. Montly pmts can vary depending on interest rate, downpayment amount, and number of months the payments are spread across. What matters is actual purchase price, which was 57k for me.

    If you want something that won't depreciate in value, get gt350. but i'd go for bullitt if you are looking for reliable daily. also i wouldn't pay 58k for gt350. just wait a little until used car market bubble goes away. you shouldn't pay more than 50k

    buying a car shouldn't strain your monthly budget for survival. I would NOT stretch your budget just to purchase this car. I've been there and done that. and it's not worth it. there are plenty other cars that are still fun to drive at lesser cost. if you can easily afford this car, then by all means. you won't regret it =) I've had many cars including e60 m5, boxster s, evo ix, etc. this is car is by far most fun and exciting to drive
