How Much Does Interrail Cost?

🌍 During my Interrail I always booked with hostelworld around 3 months in advance in order to stay at the best hostel :) Here's a link: prf.hn/l/6kb0vX2
Here is every cost during my 6 week Interrail with DiscoverEU. I am lucky enough to have Interrailed TWICE and I have learned a lot from doing so. I remember before my first trip looking for a video that could really tell me how much it was going to cost, so I have made one myself. This is an amazing experience and by making it cheaper I hope that this will inspire some more people to take the chance and Interrail themselves in 2021. I spontanously booked my 60 day Global Pass this morning and now I'm in a random train to France. Let's set a counter trend to all this super duper perfectly planned Interaillers, who know theire whole trip, activities and spending a year in advance. If I fuck up finding a hostel, I have my sleeping bag and a hammock, it will work out eventually :D

I've never been on an Interrail trip yet, but I plan to go on one, maybe in 2022... Probably I will focus on Northern European countries like Norway or Sweden, as this is a region I've never been to before and which looks amazing on pictures. Thanks for explaining the costs, this helped a lot for planning :) I'm a bit unsure how much reservations would be in total, but I think I wouldn't spend too much on other things, as I also like to go from museum to another, for what Interrail is perfect I guess :D

You can make friends this way and immerse yourself more in to the culture. I am still surprised by the price of your interrailing… cause it seems like too much.

I'd be tempted to learn the complete basics of a few languages like French, Italian, German, Russian obviously depending on where you are spending your time. English is language quite a lot of people know as a second language across Europe. So if you don't know the language, the locals will probably know enough English for you to have a conversation with them. However, my dad once told me that the locals will seriously appreciate if you are at least trying to speak a little bit of their language and making an effort. Though once he said that this angry dude started shouting at him saying to not even attempt to speak their language as they would just be making a complete mockery out of it. But that was just on one occasion.
