$85 US dollars? We shop at our local Trader Joe's a lot and it would cost much more than $85 US dollars for that same grocery haul. I like your idea of a video doing a compare "back then to now prices." Btw. I loved your "Am I A Sushi Chef?" video. I made some of the Roasted Red Bell Pepper Sushi...it was absolutely fantastic...and I am definitely adding it to my favorites list.Thank you very much for sharing your recipes!

@ Rayaelle --- After posting the comment I felt like I ought to apologize to her. It makes sense to shop Wal Mart, they have better prices. And I was definitely disappointed, at myself, for not being a better viewer. So many people have done T.J. hauls then share it on KZread. But even at our local Wal-Mart, I am certain it would cost more for the same haul. I hope that I did NOT come across snobby, because I am certainly not.

I would love for you to do somewhat regular grocery hauls accompanied by a rough meal plan, or what you plan to do with the groceries. Doesn't have to be a full meal prep video, but what are your plans with the food that you purchased. I don't comment often, but as always, thank you for sharing!

That's a pretty good price for what you got. I am a mom of two children who are grown and gone (well, they were until recently anyway) and I thought when my last one was out of the house, I would be saving money on groceries, but, lol, I still spend just as much! I set myself a budget of $150 each week, and most weeks I spend it all! That said, I sometimes use it for eating out with my girlfriends too. But some weeks (like currently), I go way over my budget! But, it is also including cleaning supplies, toiletries, and supplements, so there's that.

Every store from metro to loblaws, to food, basics, or FreshCo always have incredible specials, but instead of running around and all the stores, I go directly to the super store with the flyers and get the same product at the advertised price If you shop by specials, you could get the same type of hall for half of what you paid. I was thinking no way this would be $85 in the USA but looking back, you have small portions of what you purchased- someplace like Lidl or Aldi and I bet I could get close enough 😊 it’s not a huge Costco bag of veggies for example- or a six pack of bell peppers- prices can always be improved with changing which stores… only 3 things of tofu and a few cans of this and that? The milk would be most expensive but again- what store…. Just my 2 cents. ❤thanks for sharing!
