I am from Himachal Pradesh. The one reason behind the price rise in tomatoes this year was the time window between June and July when the tomatoes were supplied from Himachal. But this year there was heavy rainfall in Himachal and 90% of the crop got destroyed.

Why is that when congress was in power, people were going crazy about inflation? But if the same thing happen now, people start giving justification. Even Finance minister give justification like "I don't eat onions". 😂 We live in time where right wing people are defending the government for every bad decisions and actions. Even when government releases Rapists and murderes of Bilkis Bano case, don't arrest culprits of Manipur Gangrape case for months or female wrestler protest. It has never happened before. Media and people of the country always criticized the ruling government whenever there was any issue despite their ideology. This behaviour of justifying the government action had resulted in authoritarian government because they know that whatever they'll do their right wing supporters would support them.

I think you missed the point in the video. The GDP growth of India has been hovering around to 8% since 1980. It's nothing new but the life of people hasn't been changed in any regime. I live in a town my roads are similar since ages, I mean there's no road It's just mud pool where we walk. Every critism is not about BJP vs Congress. It's about making Govt. realise their duties be it any party. The power should be in our hands, not in their hands but the problem is people like you who doesn't let any critism go to govt. Yeah. It was really a surprise coming from an AI data scientist. The govt. job is to keep the inflation between 3-6% . Which they do by changing repo rates (rising or lower interest). Apart from that they can only provide subsidy. That's all. OIL is the biggest market disruptor. And these wars and OPEC have really fucked up many things.

I'm a mechanical engineering degree holder . Jobless from 5 years. Average number of vacancy comes every year is hardly 500 and applicants are above 1500000. Private sector give only 10000($100) per month and many are ready to work for it. It's very difficult to survive, my parents have lost expectations from me. I don't know what I am doing with my life . Just working hard for next year and betting on luck.

We are the biggest whiners around - for many months tomato prices are at 5-10 rupees per kilo - we conveniently forget that. CEO is talking about government controlling vegetable prices. I wonder which CEO this is. Please know food price in India is the lowest in the world. Farmers are struggling because the government stops export (think rice recently) so that farmers get screwed but people who are in this video can eat. Ingrateful....truly...

I am IT Professional and living in Mumbai, I earn 28-33K(US$ 350-400) a month from My regular 8 hour job and from my part time Business... Still I only spend around 2k(US$ 25)/month for Office Travelling, Wifi & Mobile data cost, Occasional snacks like maggi, chips... I don't go for partying every weekend which most IT people do regularly... Haven't bought new clothes for last 1.5 year... don't purchase anything which is unnecessary... saving around 3.30 Lacs(US$ 4,000) annually... Giving money to my parents for their expenses... MORAL of story - You don't need money to Live happily...

The cost of living has been subsidized in India for a long time. Which is hitting the current generation. Expectation of luxury has increased, too. So balming thr govt doesnt help. They are trying to clean up mistakes of 75 years. Yes, tax is not there across the whole spectrum, but any taxing up or low doesn't work as it comes back to the general public.

Average tier 1 city dwellers in India earns less than 3200 $ per year (as living cost is higher than the avg indisn cost of living ,so the salary is higher in tier 1 cities) There u go u didn't had to watch a video with anecdotal evidence ,simple google search would have been enough 😂 And Avg of india is about 1950 $
