    I've been traveling full time for 7 years and LOVE this lifestyle. I do mostly house sits but also cruises, volunteer English programs and Airbnbs in between. My avg monthly "rent" incl all those is less than $350/mo. I can't imagine settling down. So blessed

    I had a similar experience on carnival in december. Won $450 on a $20 input on slots and because I was trying for free or reduced cruises fed the money back into the machine. Started receiving free cruise offers (still pay taxes, port fees and tips) in January and still getting offers. Have taken 6 cruises like this so far. And am booking more! Good luck everyone!

    I always look at value. So often i see people jump on a no solo supplement solo cabin when if they just clicked on the next screen, they would likely see that they can get a full size interior cabin for less, even paying the solo supplement.

    I paid as much as you did for ONE week as you did for 30 days! I'm also a solo cruiser, and I've already booked the Princess Sun for next year (through my new travel agent) for my 1st cruise because I wanted to try to make it very special. But even though the ship will have been sailing for almost a year at that point, the price still seems steep compared to your month long figure. I hope I like cruising AND can begin cruising for cheaper (possibly by going on older ships), because paying the price I paid wouldn't allow me to do it more than 1-2 times per year! I'm hoping the price goes down but I've also heard that even if it does go down, if you've paid for the cruise in full, you wouldn't be able to take advantage of the reduced price. Have you found that to be true when booking? Grounded Life Finances is an AWESOME channel. I also love their other channels (such as Grounded Life Cruises, etc.).Great couple with great info. As always Kevin, thx for the video!! Safe travels!😊

    Nice video. I have received a few comped Princess cruises using a similar strategy. I have also received some from Carnival and NCL. I feel like the strategy is pretty close to break even, saying if you just straight up paid full retail instead of gambling and trying to get the cruise comped. Anyways, enjoy your travels and have fun!

    Hi Kevin, We actually met on the Caribbean Princess last April. I was the guy who said your backdrops from the ship were so nice they looked like a green screen ha! I was on my second cruise ever I believe. And I got off the week before you got Noro. I dodged that bullet somehow even being on the ship for 3 weeks! I ended up doing 160+ days last year on a cruise ship. Most at or below $100/day. Though Thanksgiving and Christmas cruises were more expensive. Biggest cruising expense of course was the ship internet, since I always needed the streaming package for work. NCL was the most expensive at $40/day, but there are ways to reduce it some. Still crazy expensive. I tried doing the casino hack but really lost my butt and gained nothing. Probably down $1800 with only some OBC thrown towards me. So I gave up on the casino offers. No cruises planned yet for 2024 as the costs have skyrocketed for solo travelers in all the US ports. I hope something comes up though. Anyway, great to see you back doing videos! And you're on a fantastic 100 plus day adventure with many various stops. Best of all worlds. Happy cruising!

  • @30AndAWakeUp

    @30AndAWakeUp

    I have a video where I kind of show it called how to find cheap cruises. But what I normally do is book it, then go to the future cruise desk onboard and they can usually look at the bookings and line all your cabins up. I was in one cabin for 10 days, the current cabin I am in for 34 days and then another for 59 days. So not all the same cabin but not too much moving around.

    Very nice video and the casino strategy looks excellent! However, when you say the cruise is free, what about port fees, taxes and gratuities? One reason I love cruiseplum - which I learned about from you - is the ability to see the NET cost. I hate seeing those cruises advertised for $499 and then the price more than doubles with port fees, taxes and gratuities.

    Hey Kevin! Always great seeing a new video from you. Few things come to mind.....now that you are IHGing why wouldn't you book an IHG hotel that has a free shuttle to/from the airport/cruiseport. Then using the credit cards that give you the most points/value in return. In addition booking through Rakuten (use Kevin's link to get $30 on sign up) to the Princess website cruise (or IHG for hotels) there is added values. I use a Princess Vacation Planner for most of my cruises who is a rockstar so when I make final payment and approx. 2 months after I cruise I will get my Rakuten rebate (percentage varies) Can't wait until my next cruise!!!!

They stay at most ports for 2 days....more notable ports 2 or 3 days. Smaller 600 to 800 passenger ship so can get into more ports and can get closer in. Purchase options for cabins can reduce daily cost if you are interested in living on Board full time. Segment booking option gives you flexibility to take off a few months now and then.
