Do have to have a truck in order to have your MC and Dot number? If so, how is it that you can allow people to drive under your own authority without you owning a truck?

Is the insurance of $2504 monthly or is it whole premium?

It depends on how comfortable you are with paperwork. I did a lot of this myself, but there are truckers who do hire someone to get this all setup for them.
