I just took ownership of a 2023 ZL1 M6 in Shark Skin Metallic on 2/3/23. I waited 8 months for the car. I paid 69,990 for the car plus taxes, dealer fees etc. Total cost was 75,610 out the door. Good luck with your car sir.

1st off your car is 🔥🔥🔥. I have a 2SS but I’ve been eyeing the ZL1. I went through my credit union and they have a fixed rate so my interest and principal were rolled into one flat number. It wouldn’t matter if I paid bi-weekly or monthly it’s all the same! I definitely would recommend trying a credit union just to see what they could offer. Another thing I like is that you got pre-approval for a set number. That’s so much wiser than going to every other car lot and having them run your credit.

You’re so right I use to sell cars and that’s the way to buy. Don’t be afraid of 72/84 months just give you a chance to pay off early. The only way to go. I got my wife a 2021 Nissan Rogue off the floor 60 months paid it off three years. Little over 40K miles.

I’m not even tripping on the notes it’s the insurance that’s a problem

In California you don't save any taxes by buying from a private party, unless the seller is willing to lie on the form given to the state for how much he sold the car for. They call it a Use Tax instead of a Sales Tax, but it is the same insanely high rate that we pay in California for Sales Tax. Makes you wonder how many times the state double dips on the sales/use tax of a car over its lifetime with multiple owners. Such a racket!

Beautiful! I have a Shelby GT350 and have been contemplating making a change to a ZL1. I LOVE the 1LE's, but without the magneride suspension, the roads around here would be unbearable. That said, the extra aero you added gives it that 1LE vibe. If I get one, I'll do the same and add the matte hood.

People don't realize that going those extra months can have you with a decent car note. Now just because you go 84 months doesn't mean you have to take 84 months to pay it off. I do it all the time because I pay extra to the principal but on the months I don't pay extra I know my base note is affordable

Great financial structure. Also, for those that get a bonus of some sort every year, that can also go towards paying down the vehicle or pay towards your home. There are various ways to make it happen depending on financial situation. Everyone is different. I pay all my vehicles with in 3 yrs with a 5-6 yr loans.

I got a 2018 zl1 1le bought it before in jan2020 pandemic hit and got it for 55k out the door with only 5k miles. I’m going to sell it and wait for the last production coming ouT. Hopefully they go big for the last production ends. Love it but I’ll wait 2024.

The car dealers want you to finance the car because they get paid right away where if you pay cash the money don’t clear for a day or 2! When buying new or even used! But this is out here in Cali!

Your monthly payment math doesn’t add up at all. Unless you took a mortgage loan on your car. Or put a huge down payment down.

I just placed an order for a 2022 shadow grey 6mt zl1 for the same price as some used ones I seen on the market

I got 3 car loans on my credit and still got approved for my 17’ 2SS for $780 a month

Just paid off my g8 and saving for a zl1 now same concept will stretch the loan term and still look to make an extra payment each month especially on those three month pay periods 😅😂

2015 Evo X I pay 380 a month and the loan was 61 months. My Evo will be paid off by next October.

Right now im in a A2015 Buick Regal GS 6 speed. I pay 384 a month. As a trucker, i make decent money, especially single, no kids. Id like to get a ZL1 next. How much does credit normally go up when you pay off a car early? My credit sucks but i make up for it by income.

Hey man, very informative video. I am 19 and I just bought a 2018 ZL1 with about 30k miles for $56,999 + taxes / fees. I wanted to wait until the market cooled down a bit, but due to some circumstances I needed a car quickly. I put about $12k down and my monthly payment is in the high $700's with a 8% interest rate at 75 months. No cosigner, so I feel very blessed to have that rate at my age. I also plan to refinance in about a year to a 60 month loan with hopefully lower APR if I'm able to. The car gets delivered in about 14 days and I couldn't be happier!

I paid a payment on a car right before I traded it in because it was due and I didn't want them to tell the credit agencies, because it might take them a while to get that payoff check from the dealer. Luckily, they got the payoff like the day after I paid that note, they sent me a check back for the same amount because the loan got closed out.

Looking to get a hellcat hold it until 2024 a year after production ends hope prices rocket off panic buying so i will be able to sell it for profit, break even or at worst a minimal loss then i plane on buying a zl1 after selling the cat in 2024 for the final production year and hold onto that for a while

So when you say to give your payment biweekly do you give your whole payment biweekly or you give half the payment every two weeks to restart the interest?

For my Camaro 2ss I had $589 monthly payment 60 months. Credit score was in the 600s. $0 down financed $30k. Interest around 15%. Ik it’s high, but I jumped at the opportunity to get my dream car. Same color specs and everything.

Trying to find a 1ss 1le or 2ss 1le but dealers want 10k over sticker just crazy. Time is ticking since Camaros probably going to be discontinued soon

you save a little bit by paying bi-weekly. BUT.... you are making an extra payment every year. So the savings come from you making additional payments. you make 26 payments a year. most people make 12 payments a year, 26 / 2 = 13.

Not judging, but kind of surprised your credit score is so low if you're a finance guy. For me, the rule for financing a car is 20% down, no more than 4 years of payments, no more than 10% of your take-home pay for a payment. But nothing beats being debt-free which is where I am at now (not counting the mortgage). Just decided to repaint my 10-year-old Acura (which runs like new) rather than having a car payment again. Cash is king baby! I wish I had this mentality when I was younger.

It’s not about roof over your head. It’s about what you wanted and can you offered it. What’s your loan rates? How many months? How much was your loan amount?

i did, the 10spd is another world of car! i love the M6 which also comes with the no lift shift feature but imo it would not compare to the A10 for me, this one is a 2018 ZL1.

I brought a 2020 Camaro 2SS in red hot around April 2021 put $3k down car full price like $39k

I bought a 2016 Camaro LT yellow V6 and I paid nothing down but it took me about five years to pay it off in total I paid a total of $30,180 which I felt like I should’ve just waited a couple years just to buy a ZL1 but you motivated me To put a supercharger on my V6 Camaro which I can’t wait to do that next year

I bought my 2018 Chevrolet Camaro LT Yellow V6 as well. I only had that car for a year and five months and I traded that car in for a 2020 Chevrolet Camaro 2SS. The Camaro 2SS was a $45,000 thousand dollar car but I still owed $25,000 thousand dollars on my yellow V6 Camaro. So all that money I still owed on my Yellow V6 Camaro got carried over to my Shock V8 Camaro plus taxes and insurance and the final price tag on my Camaro 2SS was $67,000 dollars. Yeah I know, it wasn't a smart financial decision, but at the same time I'm kinda glad I did it because that puts me closer to my goal of getting a ZL1 Camaro. Since I got my Yellow V6 Camaro in 2018 I knew from the beginning that I was going to climb the ladder 🪜 and work my way up to the ZL1 Camaro. If I lose my 2SS Camaro because I couldn't make the payments, I would be very devastated because all of those years of progress, hard work, and payments would have been all for nothing and would crush my dreams of getting a ZL1 Camaro. I just hope by 2024 I would have the majority paid off on my 2020 Camaro 2SS and get the Zl1 Camaro on the final production year.

My 2017 ss full bolt on camaro was hit last Monday and may get totaled. Thinking about getting a zl1 if I can afford it. Is it worth it? How about as a manual? I love manual, but was told 650 hp is a little much to control with a stick. Also, looking at audi rs5, supra, and q60 red s. But nothing seems to compare in performance.

thank god you’re ok, i would recommend you get the A10, it is faster than the manual only because it shifts quicker and has 10 gears, the M6 is absolutely incredible also in the ZL1, as it also has the no lift shift feature. i went with the A10 because knowing you have 10 gears is amazing and the shifts are crazy how it goes through them. good luck with your purchase!

I drove a buddy of mine's 2016(I think) BMW M4 with the 7 speed F1 transmission. It was cool, but still can't compare to three pedals when it comes to fun. These high powered cars aren't usually too rowdy unless you are driving them hard and with traction/stability control off. I have a friend with a full bolt-on CTS-V and even with all the nannies on, he can't get into it fully unless he's already going freeway speeds or faster.

It doesn't "reset" per say, but interest is calculated on a daily of the total remaining balance. So as you pay it off sooner the less you will pay overall in interest over the course of the loan.

Just ordered my ZL1 earlier this month. Took advantage of used market and took back my leased duramax a year and a half early. No fees or penalties, and they are giving me $18,000 toward ZL1 purchase. They said the car will take a year to arrive, so I can bank my years worth of lease payments that I do not have right now. I also have a street strip Camaro I will sell, so between all of that, I hope to only have about $20,000 left to pay for the new car. At least that is my game plan at this point.

my credit score was a 750 and got 0.9% on my car no co signer or anything. it all depends on credit history plus if you ever missed any type of payments. I used to sell Chevys so if you have any questions lmk so i could save you money

So the dealer in my town got a 2022 zl1 1le drove it and scraped the driver rim I asked how much they wanted through a friend of the owners son and they said 85k then my friend said what about the rim the owners son never msged back then a few days later they said 70k its got 750 miles on it and disappeared from the website it been ducked off in the back of the lot a few months should I trade my 2021 gt? everything is spot on just a small scuff

call the bank that financed you and you should be able to make payments biweekly if that aligns for you financially on how you pay your bills throughout the month and you should be good to go. $420 every two weeks!

im currently saving to get my own. an ss is just not what i want to settle for...hopefully even after chevy discontinues the camaro, i can still get the specs i want without the outrageous price

My god payment blues for 84 months and every 2 weeks ..miss one its gone..but congrats.

55k for the car is great! I ended up getting my 2019 zl1 for right around 60k out the door and paying 850 a month for 72 months. Zero down. I plan on getting rid of the car in the next few months as i knew the car was only going to be a temporary car. i got lucky with the way the market is and will probably be able to make some money on the car haha

Im exactly were you were at. I got 40k saved up. Im looking to pay 55k for a 17 or 18 automatic zl1. With or without mods. Im looking at a 2017 hyper blue zl1 it has 16k miles with headers and cosa exhaust with uper and lower pulleys with cai and tune. He said he'll take 58k. Im wondering if i should be more patient and wait for a better deal. It doesn't have the moon roof i want, and it's a 17, not an 18 like i want. What do you think? that’s a pretty good deal tbh. the only thing i would check is the build date. most have found build dates 03/2017-12/2017 are the most common that have the oil pump failure. i would check on the date and go from there. i would get a 2018 and check the build date. it will be on sticker in the door on the driver’s side.

I purchased my 2022 Camaro ZL1 on 1/31/22 in Autonation Doral , in Miami Florida. MSRP was $69,685.00 and with the GM Supplier Pricing at got for $66,600.00 . And 6 days later I sold it for $78,000.00 . I took off the Roto Fab Cold Air Intake and the BMR Strut Tower Brace.
