Can you help me, please? I am using plastic ABS paver molds. As the mortar is drying, it is developing cracks within the mold.
Thanks dude! Old man here contemplating funky retaining wall block design.

Awesome video, is there a reason you don't use aggregate and plasticiser to make it stronger?
@GlobMarble
2 жыл бұрын
Thanks! We usually make our own concrete mix with only sand, cement, and plasticizer but I wanted to make a quick video with just premixed bags of concrete. Every mold on our website has detailed mix instructions with the amount of each material you will need per casting :)
What is the easiest way to pour into a small mold? Thank you. Linda
@GlobMarble
2 ай бұрын
Thinner consistency of concrete, preferably achieved with a superplasticizer. Avoid adding large aggregate like gravel. Sand and cement will do just fine for very small molds
Hey man is it possible to talk with you on anything? I’ve been looking into this job and would appreciate talking to a hustler like you about it
You can show the formula of all kinds of stones
@GlobMarble

We have the formulas for every mold we have on our website :)
Nice video. Im wondering if you fill a mold to the top with dry cement is that roughly how much cement you need for that mold?
@GlobMarble
Жыл бұрын
You will probably need more as the concrete is fluffier before you add water. Our website has detailed mix and casting instructions for each mold we sell so you don't have to worry about that :)
love it ..how do i get this to southafrica

We ship worldwide, you can find links to all of the products I used in this video in the description of the video :)
Since you used the leftover dried product line to measure how much concrete to remove wouldn't it be true that you could fill your mold with water, pour into a bucket, mark the fill line and then use that much dry ingredients? Then weigh that to figure out how much water to use?
@GlobMarble

That is definitely possible! It might be difficult to pour water out of a mold though!

have you ever used fiber in your concrete ? The same concept method as using dyed concrete only in half of the mold to save money , using fiber is the same way , pour dyed or not dyed concrete first in the mold then the second batch would have the fiber in the concrete , then vibrate.
@GlobMarble
Жыл бұрын
Yes, that is most common when doing countertops, you would spray the face coat and then do the backer coat which is packed full of fibers

@@GlobMarbleDo you need to add fiber when making outdoor pavers?
It looks a little large, so how is it a attached to the wall? Do you drill holes ?🤔

This is a Stepping stone border mold, it is installed on the floor. We are coming out with a new video showing how to cast and install them soon!
Hey Vlad, My name is also Vlad 😂, quick question. We live pretty close to each other, have you tried looking for a supplier to get some lightweight aggregate in bulk for the concrete mix, like pumice, lava rock or perlite ? Was wondering what your though on these aggregates are, have you tried any?
@GlobMarble
3 ай бұрын
Yes, I have played around with these aggregates. My conclusion is that these aggregates absolutely make the concrete lighter but at great detriment to the strength and PSI. The best alternative in my opinion is using a prebagged lightweight mix like XS LightWeight. The manufacturers are wizards who put additives most people wouldn't be able to pronounce to get the best combination of reduced weight and strength. - globmarble.com/xtreme-lightweight-concrete-mix-3.html
Dose the release agent do good even if you add the iron oxide directly on the mold ?

How long does a mold this size need to set before removing the finished product?
@GlobMarble

Typically the next day, but you can speed up the process by using CSA concrete, like I did in this video- kzread.info/dash/bejne/naB6m8Vtqd2Xhqw.html
