I've been living in the Philippines, starting in 1983. I bought two lots and built two homes on them. One for me and my Filipina wife and one for my son. I've bought three new cars and I put more than $10,000.00 in savings. Life here is very good! I am so glad I left the US.

If you make the Philippines your home base, you can travel to other neighboring countries more easily, not just switching from urban to rural or resort life from week to week inside the island nation. Many foreigners have traveled from Manila to Japan, South Korea, Taiwan, Vietnam, Malaysia, Thailand, India, Middle East, Singapore, Indonesia, Australia, New Zealand, Palau, Guam, etc. Some have settled here permanently while spending a few months a year back in the USA or Europe.

as a filipino citizen if you want to go in the philippines please note that SOME people here is exploitable or greedy and they pricing some stuff much higher than normal price if you are foreign people just a friendly advice ask to some local that you think is trustworthy before you buy anything specially in street vendors. (Edited) buy or pay specially in transportation if you don't have private vehicle.
We appreciate your reactions. Keep up the good work.

The only downside for foreigners who wish to live here is the weather conditions. Most of the time it gets very very hot here which will make you sweat a lot if you are not used to it. It also just randomly rains here so always bring an umbrella. But if you manage to get used to all of that and you have a good enough financial background then you can live here. Also, it is very traffic here, especially in dense urban areas like Manila.

The reason for scooters here in the Philippines is mostly because of the heavy traffic. It's just easier to get through and barely gets checked by traffic enforcers in comparison to cars.

Decent haircut for men in the Philippines is like 1-3 dollars including optional tip. Here in the US, Supercuts is like 20-25 bucks excluding required tip, and it is hit-and-miss when it comes to the quality, depending on the hair-stylist that you got. Lol.

Can't wait to see you here in the Philippines!
Splendid video, just to put things in better context, stated cost of living is ok if you are living in a secondary or provincial city with a modest lifestyle, by western standards. The cost of living will significantly be a bit higher especially for the rent if you go to the primary urban centers like Makati or Cebu. Most of the country is tourist friendly and safe for solo tourist but for those thinking of visiting the Philippines on their own, just do your research very well or have someone who is familiar with the culture and norms as to give you a better guidance and experience on your stay. This will also help you to get better deals and avoid unsure places. Other than that, Philippines is an excellent destination for tourist, gives you a better value for your money.

If I am not mistaken, his total monthly expenses are just about the same, more or less, as what an office worker is getting paid monthly here in the Philippines.
You will often see secondary kitchens in most houses here. We call it dirty kitchen or auxillary kitchen and is used most of the time especially for heavy cooking.
Yes, there is an option for you to apply directly to the ISP for better speed. We are already using fiber connection though.
Sir VI3ION when you visit Philippines you can travel to Palawan - Coron & El Nido, you can travel to Visayas - Boracay and beaches, you can travel in Mindanao like Davao city, Bicol where you can see the Mayon, Tagaytay, Cavite to Batangas you can see Taal Volcano, see you in Philippines
Mcdonalds set meals cost 6 to 10 usd in ph. Scooter is better transport because of traffic but car is good as well. Don't forget Manila is the 1 most Condensed City in the world. Per 1 Mile radius there is 177k people around you
I have to say the cost of living in Angeles City is surprisingly low compared to Baguio or Manila. Increase everything by about 50% and that's about what I pay in Baguio/M.Manila.
You should check out Pasig River Esplanade! Preferably at the evening. Its so beautiful(And new) and they give boat rides. Its like you're taking a gondola boat ride in Venice but its the philippines version of it.
If ur living in the ph for a long time u will find a lot cheaper than that but better. Theres a lot of places in the ph that will give u better deal and fit ur taste. Its like going on an adventure between islands and find the perfect spot for u.
good day bro. there is more cheaper than his expenses in living in the Phillippines ask the local folks and they will teach you how to spend your money wisely trust the filipinos they will not fail you stay safe mabuhay.....
it's easy to vacate in PH but it's hard to live out here, especially for filipinos
Our internet is around 200-300 mbps sometimes higher. He's getting a lower (but still decent) speed maybe because the whole internet is shared among the tenants.
5:45 No problem, all the areas you really want to live, have options for fibreglass so your speeds are easily reached :) And about the costs, if you try more to adapt to local food options you pay much less for groceries for example and the rent prices here are also more cheap at most other places, but with the same standards or higher.. Angeles is a special place, where a lot of foreigners stay because of.. well lets talk about something else... But if you live at other places, you also save there.. 600$ is not so tough to beat actually.

I was in The Philippines 🇵🇭 as a boy 👦. Angeles City is where Clark Air Force used to be. Recently, I went to The Philippines 🇵🇭 in December 2022. I got bang bang for $1. 😃 As for cash 💸 more than $1, I lived like a king 🤴 Do have a net and bug spray: the typical mosquito 🦟 there is aggressive and tells his friends to buzz over.

The value of Philippine Peso has weakened because of the Pandemic, the war, and some relevant issues. Not only the Philippines, but also the other countries in the world. The Dollar has been so powerful that US companies have expanded their business into the rest of the world. One good example is the Gas; it's cheap in the US but we all suffer the price hike.
