You can order the Service B kit online for $130 and do it yourself in less than 2 hours. Service A is just an oil change and that kit is about $75. That means my 3 services only cost me $280 and a few hours of my time. I do my services on my 2 Mercedes and my Audi myself and I am NOT a mechanic. Its actually pretty easy and saves me tons of money. I only take it to the stealership when necessary. About the only thing the dealer does is my brake flush. FYI, at 50,000 miles your MB will need spark plugs. The dealer will charge about $400 but you can do it yourself for about $75 and it takes less than an hour. Too easy. Because its so easy and cheap, I change my oil every 5,000 miles. I use the money saved doing my own service to fly business class when taking trips. 👍

@Edgar Ramirez I just had an issue with 2 coil packs going bad. Took it to the dealer to diagnose they recommended replacing all 6 coil packs and spark plugs ($1900, replace battery ($450), oil change ($250), engine air filter and cabin filter ($200). I said thanks and paid $125 diagnosis fee. Ordered the coils/plugs from FC Euro ($300) got the oil, all filters, and battery from O'Reiley's ($400). Spent another $50 on additional tools and did the work myself. Basically almost $3000 at the dealer and about $700 to do it myself. It was time consuming but not too difficult. Like I said, if I can do it, I know you can. I did it all just by watching KZread videos. kzread.info/dash/bejne/q6ycpcGnf8KzibQ.html

You save 30%-40% cost with Pre-Paid Maintenance from Mercedes Benz. If you really want the service cost to be low and you want everything to be done to the Mercedes-Benz specifications and have a peace of mind, always go with pre-paid maintenance. Even when you buy a used star certified car from Mercedes-Benz Dealership, you can buy pre-paid Maintenance package. Not too many people know about this so I thought of sharing the information with people who want to own a Benz.. Cheers..

Excellent advice! Also, pay the $18-20 a month and *get the extended warranty!* Certified Pre owned, includes additional 1yr factory wrty extension, plus any years you buy. So your car would have had _7yrs total factory wrty_ coverage. Which means it would _always_repaired _with genuine parts!_ Plus Service Loaner vehicles.

Why not do that stuff yourself? Summerfit is Mercedes branded windshield washer fluid. They charged you $4.95 for 40ml which is 1.3 ounces of concentrate that has to be mixed with water. An extremely expensive way to do washer fluid, buy the all season stuff in a store premixed. That part number oil is essentially Mobil One Synthetic Oil which is sold here for $24 for 1 gallon (4qt). Apparently yours takes 7 quarts for which they charge you $13.95 each. Damn. Additives are over-priced. As for the key fob battery every car has them, I just replaced mine at 3 years when it started failing for half the price. Dust filter is probably a cabin air filter and easily accesssible by the owner. That's Canada so the dollar amounts are likely higher than here but still overpriced.
