They r important for a group of birds who migrate to Canada, they r there main source of food and some frogs wholly depend on mosquitoes if they were dead then they would wait for them till they starve to death and these mentioned animals r food for other animals so even a slight variation in ecosystem can cause a grave imbalance.

Mosquitoes are so bad in Louisiana, it's considered the state bird. You can feel the needle when it pierce your skin through denim. But fortunately, with chemicals and better personal awareness, it's gotten better over the years.

Here's an interesting fact for you ZuTu. Mosquitoes can't suck blood, they use the pumping of our hearts to get it. And since they can only feed only completely fresh blood, labs that have to breed mosquitoes for research do it by having a designated person stick their hand in and letting the few hundred or thousand mosquitoes in there get their fill. How's that for a fun job?

Yoo those water drops..I found a blood filled mosquito few days ago and for the 1st time I noticed it was releasing water drops when I put it on a paper. It released water for quite a long time. I thought I was gonna search why but I forgot. Today this video came looking for me.

Yes. Craziest thing to do is if you see a mosquito getting you, wait until its super plump then flex your muscles in the area and if you're lucky enough if it's on a good vein you can make it explode slightly. I've done it about 2-3 times in my life.
