Money isn’t everything… until you don’t have it.
thank you! amazing and mind blowing knowledge . im an entrepreneur from argentina and here the hyperinflation is a really big issue. this helps me reframing about the quality of the service i offer.
Wow. Powerful stuff.
Well said Robert Breedlove. Thank you and sending one up to Hal Finney.
This is one of the smartest person I have heard speak of money .
That was an excellent listen.
Excellent discussion
A very good question to think about, also we can clearly see the results of how this affects many of us when it comes to planning. Many people struggle with long-term planning because of many factors of course, but one of the most important factors is that self compromise when we have lack money and this is the very case of morality.
Great podcast.
I have a question: if Bitcoin doesn’t suffer inflation, how come the price is so incredibly volatile? Maybe I mix up things but mustn’t the price of Bitcoin, or rather the value, stay more or less steady ?
Heaven yes thank you Lex and whoever this other genie is
This guy is incredible. wow just wow
Money doesn’t make the person it displays the person
He left out the option that you can choose to maintain your price and quality during inflationary money supply. You can generate profits from increasing production to fulfill more customers demand. If your product is good and the price is low, you will have more customers. It’s a no brainer. However, the devil is in the details, you will have to adjust and balance all of these factors for not having to suffer the consequences of inflation and at the same time, not having to suffer the consequences of moral degradation.
Money isn't paper.
This guy reminds me of George Hotz in that he isn’t too intellectual, but he has a way with proving his opinion - it’s almost cult-like.
"To be moral, an act must be free" - Murray Rothbard
Nice thumbnail with 3D effect.
Look at the U.S. political system. Greed = corruption and power is needed to allow them to feed that greed. The job for those career politicians is to get as much wealth as possible. Now why 80 year old multi millionares still need to contiune to keep getting richer is far beyond my me. The American dream is to have a family and live your best life and leave something for your family. Millions of dollars should be the air for you to maybe enjoy life. This also tells me that these career politicians all have serious mental problems. These people are so bad that with out feeling supreme to the world that can truely enjoy life.
"The love of money is the root of ALL evil." I Timothy 6:10 Agree or disagree about the religion, but you cannot deny that they contain wisdom.

More money less morality, but not always...
Money is a tool, but shouldn't control your emotions.
You have no economic growth without population growth or inflation.. Why can't we be more long term thinkers and be ok with slight stagnation
This, of course, totally ignores the fact that Bitcoin mining currently consumes more electricity than some modest-sized countries, and that's with Bitcoin as a speculative market. Does that seem like a sustainable, long-term solution to what is already an existential threat to our lives in climate change?

I feel like this comment doesn't really factor in improvements in natural energy creation alongside increased Bitcoin energy demand?

@@khyber04 You can't factor in technology that doesn't exist. Future energy improvements cannot currently address non-Bitcoin energy demands. This is a technology that currently uses more energy than Argentina, and it's a niche technology for rich speculative investors. It's very premise is fundamentally, and dangerously, flawed.

@@michaelkaminski84 *Current* energy improvements cannot address non-Bitcoin energy demands. Also consider that most Bitcoin mining is done in fucking China where they don't give a shit about using coal based power. I get your concern with this but I believe the Bitcoin system would be ok if miners were using far more natural energy to power their systems. I suppose this is where we differ, I believe this technology will exist and be accessible to consumers within the next 10 years.
Money is the root of all evil.
This is petty nonsense compared to the effects of using money as mind control. Doesnt matter if its centralized or not. Free market marketing is the mstr of this.
👏👏💚👏👏
This dude is obsessed with money don’t let him fool you. The very fact that he keeps talking about bitcoin as if it were a hedge against money albeit it’s paid for with money speaks volumes.
Amazing people talk about problems and how to solve them, awful people talk about other people.
Far from being theft, Money is a symbol of how an individual's success depends on the work and support of an entire society. Without the printing of money in the last year the economy would have cratered and many many more people would have suffered. In a world of bitcoin there would have been blood in the streets. Money is a symbol of our interdependence not a pitiless calculation which ticks away like a clock while people starve. This guy doesn't know what he's talking about. He also failed to talk about productive deflation. What the hell does he think will happen when AI destroys most jobs? In an age of abundance, bitcoin is the absolute dumbest way of managing the economy. There is no UBI in a world of bitcoin, there is a second great deflationary depression. This presenter's opinions are dead wrong.
Bitcoin has Zero inflation my ass you pay for it with inflated money 😂
