I think if we expect girls to aspire to an existence that they cannot do anything to work towards, we’re just going to give them poor self esteem.

@@sarab5222 actually yes, i see your point, and while being gorgeous by society's standards is not something you can control, but if you have a good personality and are kind, and take care of your body and skin, I think that already is very beautiful.

I can't believe that I used to look up to Bollywood celebs who would go for skin lightening procedures and would rather paint light skinned actors dark than give dark skinned people opportunities. I'm so glad I found this video! She is witty, gorgeous and unapologetic! I only wish I didn't spend all my childhood hating my colour.

How about we look upto Tara Shears, a woman in STEM, or adhere to the ideals of classical feminists of the 1800s like Olympes de Gouges over radical feminists with millions of dollars on Twitter like Cardi B who destroy the traditional model of society and womanhood in general😉 Beauty is either genetic or artificial. She’s definitely incredibly stunning, but not an inspiration.

can we stop demonising people who get plastic surgery??? Adut is absolutely naturally stunning in all her beauty but why if someone wants to modify their looks to look a certain way then idont see anything wrong with that either, I agree that the Kardashians are not the best role model mainly because of their personality but you can certainly not say they're a bad influence just cause they got some work done to their body. Self love and Body positivity is needed but if someone wants to change then it's ok as well

She's amazing. She's blue Black. When our younger GrandSon was born, he had a mark that color on his back. I remember distinctly it was a bluish-purplish Black. All his melanin was located in one spot on his back. Then it spread to the rest of his skin, as I'm told happens with pigmented people, and he became a dark brown. She has that color all over! Totally amazing.
