The entirety of “Meet the Plastics” should have been kept. Maybe not the 3-part harmony at the end but it would have made their introduction so much stronger + the animal comparison makes a lot more sense

i read someone saying that the intention was to make the song more serious and the Broadway version was too goofy, but they should have at least changed the name of the song to Meet Regina George

THIS!!! SERIOUSLY!! I was watching a video essay the other day explaining how Hollywood is scared to promote musicals even though they still make them? Like Mean Girls, Wonka too, and some other examples they mentioned that I don't remember right now, they don't even show that they're musicals in the trailer, which is a very deliberate choice. People already have a negative predisposition against musicals as it is.

I can think of a few ways they could've shortened this without just making it "Meet Regina"

They really fumbled the bag with the movie. The music doesn’t do the broadway musical justice.

They’re better minus some of the cuts and some of cady’s parts.

I love Gretchen's singing part, I was so bummed they removed it.

in the movie, it wasn’t meet the plastics. it was MEET THE PLASTIC.

Bebe and Avantika were so GOOD in their roles and they deserved these delightful introductions! They were both done so dirty.

I HAD MY JAW DROPPED FOR THE WHOLE OF THIS VIDEO!!! THIS IS EXACTLY HOW IT SHOULD HAVE SOUNDED!!! Please do more of these, it would be SO fetch!

I like the new version of Regina’s part..but they should’ve done something like this

@@chamorealtea3294They should’ve had 95% Broadway goers for test audience. Since they would’ve made sure the box office went as high as it did now, if it was actually a good adaptation. But hey, that’s not because of the test audience. It’s because they gave some newbies a chance to direct. Instead of waiting till John M. Chu was available again!

I would have loved to hear Cady, Janis, and Damien’s talking in this but this is still good!

but why is the iconic theme of the musical not in the movie?😩 literally gives you goosebumps

thank you so much for giving us these better versions, it just makes me very upset bc now i'm sure the songs could have been better, but to fit in the "short-songs-do-better-on-streaming" they had to cut and rush them ugh

Is that really true now? Is that why so many idiots are out here releasing two-minute songs?? I'm sick of hearing a clip I like on tiktok then going to Spotify and the whole damn thing is 2:20. If your song is under 3 minutes I think you REALLY need to revisit whether it's actually finished hahaha

I think maybe they only did Regina to show her power to the audience and put the impression of how everyone feared her. I liked it with Regina but Karen and Gretchen would have sounded great with it too

I love Reneé Rapp on Broadway! She was amazing but in the movie adaptation she felt more like she was trying to be Lana del Rey still an amazing voice but very dragged out words :( and the movie songs weren’t as peppy? Or energized on the on stage musical

I don't think they wanted the audios to be like muffled and with audience stuff like laughs and etc so it can sound clear

This actually works without changing the voices too much, since avantika tries to sound like the karen before her

I recommend using a high-quality AI Voice, insert this sound, and have Karen and Gretchen sing this!

I seriously don't get why they shortened this song in the movie. An idiotic choice. I was actually mad when I didn't hear Gretchen's and Karen's intros.

Removing Gretchen & Karen’s parts? Overall fumbling the soundtrack which was the main focus of the film seperating it from its predecessor. For all that’s lackluster scout the musical there are stellar bits, songs and vocals they could have worked with.

This would be hard to do with AI since you need a lot of clean vocal tracks to train the AI and we don't have many of those of Avantika or Bebe. Plus trying to separate the harmonies in the last chunk would be nearly impossible.

I prefer the movie part. I liked how it focused more on Renee's voice.

As much as I love this, this would never play well in front of the general public

I hate purist. If you wanna hear the broadway soundtrack then go listen to it the musical soundtrack is awesome god why do people hate everything now
