If you have a lawyer, you may want to schedule a meeting with him or her and see if there are any medical providers that will treat you on a lien basis. This is especially important in TBI cases because your injury is not visible to the naked eye. A medical doctor will need to testify about the cause and long term effects of your injury. If you stop treating, the adverse insurance company will try to argue that you are not hurt bad enough to go to the doctor. Basically, talk to your lawyer and ask them what options are available in your state.
