Very well presented and edited video, I loved it and learned a lot. I have to say though, I am VERY tired of titles that literally lie. It says Mcdonalds "ruined" it but that would imply it left a bad impression, which it clearly didn't. I know that's kind of how growing a channel on youtube works but I don't have to like it.

I definitely see what you mean. The title has been planned since I made the full review actually. These videos are a good way to get more eyes on my content. And I didn’t just make it up, in my opinion I think Sonic 3 stand alone leaves a lot to be desired, so it’s not fully untrue, more or less my opinion. I appreciate the compliment and thoughts. as much as I love basic names like “NNC Reviews: Sonic 3” sadly KZread isn’t really that way anymore. Thus these videos. It helps me in the end, also the thumbnail is really funny to me

im being genuine this video is really good

it didn't ruin the game, it improved it. the game would have likely had less stages if it was one big game.

First, Michael Jackson...now, (also) Mc. Donalds? What would be nice is a finished copy of Sonic 3. By finished, i mean with Mushroom Valley (instead of Hill) 🕳️

Why did McDonalds make a bad commercial.

My Tails toy didn't work, and had triangle security screws.

I always thought that knuckles and piccolo were similar too

It's funny, because I got into drawing Sonic because of McDonald's, I remember that when Sonic 3 released, well they released Happy Meals with toys from that game, I got mine, it was a paper bag with Sonic 3 characters on it, and I opened up, and... no Sonic toy! lol, i instead got a stupid Flinstones toy, I guess they ran out of Sonic toys, anyway, I remember learning how to draw Sonic by looking at the paper bag and oh, man did I drew him for years, and like any other fan worth their weight in rings, I obviously made my own OCs and stories, good times!

I'm glad the Nike swish fell through. Not only was it a bad idea, it would have caused a character adjustment later in life.

Sonic 2 was also rushed and cut 11 stages. Most recently, the mobile Sonic Mania port was rushed. The problem is a Sega not being a good company. Even if the devs (not publisher part of Sega) had great ideas

Im glad they done it tho it is my favorite classic sonic game and without the split we won't have hyper sonic which is my favorite form of all the time !

Come to think of it, why wasn't Sonic 3 just made as a Sega CD game if storage space were the problem? Redbook audio and larger storage capacity of the CD format was the whole point of it. I guess they already wanted to dich the add-on at this point, making Sonic CD & Knuckles having even less sense.

The biggest loss for sonic 3 was its beta music (even if final ice cap is peak)

Good question! I love the early 2000s character aesthetic. Especially when characters wear goggles, so I wanted to carry that over. Do I look stupid? Probably. But anyone who makes hour long video on sonic it’s stupid so I’m not too bad!

Mcdonalds did not ruin the game. Sega has a long history of rushing Sonic games for quick cheap buck. Naka even said he regrets the Mcdonalds deal meaning it was just for quick money

IMO, sonic 3 was the second worst of the classics, it felt as slow as sonic 1, its like they took the level design of mario and mixed it with the gameplay of sonic, and it turned out mid
