"I can be like your weird, old, pottery making uncle who helps you with your pottery skills." Oh, yes. I'm definitely looking forward to this, Uncle Andy. Love it. 👍👍👍👍👍

Uncle Potter ! Lets get our pottery on :)
Can't wait!
I had the privilege to be a disciple of Eusebio Ortega Moreno, Master potter from Mata Ortiz. He left his legacy here in Cancun, Quintana Roo, teaching a handful of people in his workshop. He passed away some time ago and, my, how we miss him! May he rest in peace, a kind and generous man, much appreciated by my fellow talleristas and myself.

Awesome, thank you!
Howdy. I'm from Aztec NM. Just discovered your channel a couple days ago. Been binging every episode. I'm just getting into pottery making. I really dig the whole vibe of the channel. I'm starting my first batch of wild clay as soon as the weather clears up. I hope to make my first pot next month. If I am successful it will be entirely thanks to you.

Have fun, but be patient! There will be a lot of failures along with the successes, so don't give in to disappointment. It will be worth it in the long run.

That's great, some of the potters in this little village really get around. Quite a few of them have been to many place in the US.
I had a nice woman potter ask me one time if I likes Mata Ortiz and I said "yes, he makes nice pottery" I had not studied pottery much but she had. Later, years later when I found out that Mata Ortiz was like the style and technique of pottery instead of the artist himself,.. krissy R. If you ever see this comment,.. I am a bit more knowledgeable now. I am sorry for pretending I knew... Krissy R. is a magnificent ceramicist from Mexico and was potting here in New Mexico for a while,... I sure would like to meet her again, to learn more about her pottery as well... Thanks Andy for teaching us, so we don't look like fools when someone asks! lol

Ha ha, great story. It can be hard to keep up with all the different potters and pottery making Pueblos around.
This is going to be absolutely amazing! I've seen some videos about their pottery proces, but i neded the weird, old, pottery making uncle version hahahaha
Just 4 more days!
Great video. I was wondering, how can I wash my earthenware pots after using them for eating or something similar?
👍
