For 94 locs your hair looks nice and full. That just goes to show you that there is no perfect number of locs. You can look good no matter how many you have.

Started my daughter's loc journey yesterday and just started doing my research really. Wanna say you are gorgeous and your spirit reminds me of my little human.

I've had my locs for 16 years, and never thought of counting them. *XD* Your locs are beautiful, Charmaine. :)

I went from 433 locks to 68 and I love it, I can't do the thin locks anymore.

ok so...your older video popped up..I started my own on the 28th of Nov. However a friend of mine that used to be loced for the longest time said she thought they may be too small. I had about 135/137...she said if you pull down you will see how ghin it will be once it matures. So I took them out to start over. Ultimately I don't want them to fall out or be too heavy that they break in the futher. Ugh! I was 3 weeks in and now I'll be starting them over again

I have recently combined a few of my locs, this year will be 5 years. I know this video is old so your combined locs must be matured by now but did you retwist them counter-clockwise u til they were fully mature so that they wouldn’t unravel?

OOOOH my goodness, I counted mine and then I watched this & we both have 94 😂

any tips on retaining the amount of locs that you started off with. I recently locs I have bout 113 I want to stick with that amount. Your beautiful btw, love your videos

@ Brittany Blackwell, yes I still have the fullness. My hair is of a thick texture anyway and actually my profile pic shows the combined locs now and the fullness.

Beautiful! I appreciate you sharing your experiences. I do have a quick question: when/if you have a weak spot in your locs, what do you do? I tie a knot and slide it down over the weak spot, then palm roll it. Over time, the knot becomes less noticeable as my hair grows. Your thoughts, please?

I like to know the exact number of locs I have so I know how many straglers I have when I braid or twist. I have 79 so when I do a 3 loc braid out there's always one braid that needs 4 and when I twist one has 3. When installing my daughter's hair even though I lost count while coiling her hair she ended up with 78, divisible by 2 and 3. That's really the only reason I even care to count them because like you said there are so many factors that influence how many locs a person has.

When you combined, was there ever a time you reconstructed the parts?

I have 94 and I have a big head lol. really nervous about that, because i did them myself. . but i want them to look full. but I also wanted to be able to do them myself without interlocking.. and to be able to do them myself without it taking forever. but ive also heard some people say, sense they had so many and it was thick it was harder to do the styles like they wanted

I have 52 starter locs... I always wanted thicker locs but I’m scared cuz my natural hair isn’t very thick and coarse I’m scared it’s gonna looks crazy... we’ll see! My hair is sooo short right now.

Hey girl, I'm experiencing some unexpected breakage and thinning along my edges. do you advise me to combine those locs? I tried adding some human afro hair to the root for support, however it has not enhance the growth in that area. I've just celebrated my 2 year loc anniversary on June the 1st, so I really don't want to cut them. I searched several videos for help with this problem. What do you suggest,

You should try to thicken your hair at the root in that area. Try to develop a JBCO and stop retwisting your edges as frequently and stop styling tightly.

Are these medium or small locs?

Do you still combine your locs the same way as you did in your previous loc vid or do you have an updated method

I had 100 locs... Dropped down to 70 during interlocs.. I wanted more...but I guess I can't get more now.. they're interloced

I have 64 locs I'm not sure how they will turn out. I told the loctition I want not too thick and not too small. I'm kinda on the fence about them.. I have like a love /hate feel about them.

pioneer2525 I must have misunderstood your question. It doesn't matter, you can combine locs at any stage. I show locs that were combined at different ages. And it doesn't make a difference if its the whole head or just a few. It's all up to your preference.

Flyy Rasta when you twist your locs, make sure you twist each individual loc clockwise. It's hard to explain, I'll make a tutorial
