Man 2021 and 2022 was when the hype for Ragnarok was at its peak. I usually wait patiently for most projects, I don't even watch trailers, but this one had me thinking about it almost everyday since the first trailer

Although it was not that long ago the Ragnarok waiting period was great, theories everywhere it was awesome for true GOW fans. It's also kind of funny that during the waiting period we really wanted Ragnarok and now that it's out we miss the waiting period 😂

Well ofcourse will theroies sound more awesome. Question if it will all makes sense and fit story wise and to have a cohesive full story. I mean people were crazy with theories back before Last Jedi came out, with Snoke being plagues and people having "proof" then many other stuff that was wild but good. Then last jedi came out and split the fanbase 50/50 and probably some of the reason is because people had seen all these theroies and what they got was shit compared to what they prepared. Though I think more and more people have come out saying Last Jedi sucked. Though with rewatching and looking back at the last jedi, it sucked as a story generally either way.

Man it feels good to watch your Gow related videos again, you know after the disappointment of ragnarok having you making less Gow related videos was a sad ending. It feels good to watch you making more gow videos so thank you 👌

Imagine a mix of the mechanics of the scene with the norms (don't know where they appear, moving fast, confusión you, etc.) so Hodr could fight, with the ares but also throwing you stuff (arrows and other stuff) like in the real stories

A few thoughts: First, as far as the moment where Atreus realizes what Kratos did to his first family is concerned, I still think it could work in a future Atreus-focused game if it were framed not as a feeling of betrayal on Kratos's part but rather as Atreus having to reconcile how he views his father against how the wider world views his father. Keep in mind, Atreus's life up to now has still been pretty isolated; yes, he's traveled the Nine Realms quite extensively alongside Kratos, but that's just one small corner of the world. What happens if he travels elsewhere, without his father beside him to defend himself against the criticism of others regarding his actions? The lad might feel undue pressure on him to convince people that his father is better now, or something to that effect. Maybe Kratos's reputation leads to someone (god or mortal) assigning similar shame to Atreus in a "the sins of the fathers are visited upon the children" situation, causing others to shun him and refuse to help him since he's the son of a monster. Second, concerning the Artemis/Apollo thing, perhaps they just left Greece at some point. I can imagine that the two of them decided to peace out once Kratos ascended to Godhood and took up the office of the God of War, since why would they want to work alongside the one who murdered their half-brother and obviously harbors resentment towards Olympus as a whole? Both were widely known throughout the Mediterranean, so there's really no limit to where they could have settled down, whether as gods or men. I can imagine Apollo, with all of his talents, choosing to spend his life as a nomadic entertainer, oracle, and healer after seriously reflecting upon the actions of his father Zeus (mirroring the aforementioned reflecting and reconciling Atreus could potentially be faced with) and choosing to not walk Zeus's path any longer. Artemis, on the other hand, could choose to continue living as a god, heading down to Egypt where she made herself at home under the name of Bastet or Sekhmet (which would work with the leonine form that piece of art in the video showed her having). There, she'd be working as the "Eye of Re", which in this context wouldn't be literally referring to Re's eye (though she may still wear it on her person as a sort of badge) but rather as Re's top agent throughout Egypt and the surrounding territories. These are all very basic ideas, though, so they're not all that fleshed-out or really _good_ for that matter, but I figured I'd share them anyway. Edit: So I just remembered that the Blade of Artemis was a thing in God of War I, but since I have no idea what Artemis said to Kratos when she gave it to him (other than her supposedly having slain a Titan with it), I am no longer certain if she, in particular, would hold anything against Kratos for killing Ares, since she was his presumed ally in that game. Depending on the context, maybe she just saw the writing on the wall after Kratos became a god and chose to leave so she didn't end up getting slaughtered with the rest of her family.

Hello Kuba, big fan of your videos. I really miss the hype of this game. By the way, Mihir Seth is in Japan again. Two times in less than a year can't be a coincidence. May be something is cooking in Japan. Eric Williams said in one of the interviews after GoWR release that they would never do something that is obvious. Greek seems to be very obvious. May be they are really thinking of Japan at this time around.

I actually really liked your theory/idea of a boss fight with Sif. The golden hair as a wepon sounds really cool and I think it could have had a really good emotional/character driven element to it. With Sif being driven by revenge for Magni and Modi and also wanting to protect her last child Thrüid. But lis maybe some gulit? Perhaps she felt she failed Magni and Modi in some way. And for Kratos it could be driven by the same time of scenario for Fraya. With Kratos not wanting to fight Sif and pulling his punches and trying to reason with her. I know Sif is more of a "madien/lady" in mythology and but i could honestly buy her being a warrior especially in the world of the GOW story.

Insted of an artcontest you could make a content contest where the challengers have to create a story of the next god of war themselves or a rewrite due to you mention it for the winner you could either get a profisional coder who makes this idea real, or just a ps5 with ragnarok

As you were talking about Himdal and Idea came to my mind it would have been great to fight him on the rainbow bridge while he make it vanish and Kratos uses his wings from before

Honestly, about Freyr again, I do not mind him being the way he is right now in Ragnarok. His arc was of course the torture from the Aesir Gods, avoiding responsibility, leaving it all to Freya and losing her to Odin, and being an incompetent leader for the way he is. I think they did pretty well with him, he is supposed to be easy-going and party-like, and that's exactly what Freya finds frustrating about him, avoiding responsibility and leaving her behind due to his easy-going nature. It gives him some interesting development. If they did something not good enough with him, then I think it's because we needed a bit more in-depth information on his history and depression that lead to his behavior. He's sort of quirky like Spider-Man because he lost a lot and suffered mentally and physically, but tries to stay positive by making jokes, having fun, drinking, etc. Overall, he's one of my favorite characters in the game next to Heimdall. I am currently replaying the game again, and I just love these two specifically, very well acted, and loved their inclusion.

See I have a vision. A very VERY passionate one involving kratos and gang, obviously last chapter of the games or kratos story, anyway Atreus lands in the land where journey of the west takes place. Atreus here's of a powerful deity that can answer any questions or bestow any gift upon an individual if they completed this task. The task being defeating a mysterious warrior enprisoned hundreds of years ago. Within a monstrous mountain that dwarfs even the tallest peak of the nine realms. is where the Trial would be at, Atreus would make his way (should also mention at some point Freya or he himself managed to create an SoS of sorts through magic to inform kratos, mimir and Freya of Atreus in danger.) Through the mountain finding the deeper he goes the bigger the "cave" becomes, till it opens to an almost miniature globe shape from the inside and in the center lies a statue of Wukong holding his staff as if he is waiting for the arrival of someone. Atreus approaches and the statue, the statue then asks if he is ready to begin so that he may get his prize. Atreus underestimating the trial ahead arrogantly accepts scoffing at the statue. (Atreus has heard stories and myths involving wukong however the greater deities know of him actually being real where as the rest of that universe thinks of Buddha and wukong being mere legends especially wukong a god that could match heaven in strength.) Whoopty due the statue shakes and the stone skin cracks and splinters off revealing a smaller form but true wukong. Atreus being skeptical and kinda amused at how tiny this warrior is. Just to get rag dolled, Atreus tries to fight back but seeing how nothing is working on wukong, Atreus uses the SoS, then the crew arrive some time later. Boi is real hurt and kratos knocks wukong away before Atreus is killed, Atreus warns his father about what he knows, Freya rushes to Atreus side and begins to heal him, mimir and Freya both recognize who kratos just knocked away from his son and both are scared when they lay eyes on him when he rises from the ground with a punk smile, then some sort of insult to the blow or what just happened. Atreus tells kratos of the challenge, then kratos denounces his son from participating and takes his place. BOOM battle begins but you don't play kratos for like three or more game hours and try to discover what you can about wukong and try to weaken him. Kratos meanwhile is being pressed like no other ever has on him, however wukong says once kratos fails and wukong is free due to the circumstances of the challenge wukong will go after his son for escaping fate in which kratos just goes hell nah and begins to actually inflict some pain and damage to wukong and wukong himself being impressed by this feat begins to question who kratos is. Devine light sheds down and Buddha enlightens wukong of who kratos is and begins to take things seriously seeing as kratos is also capable with matching heavens strength. Gods gather around to watch the global fight happen. (While adventuring as Atreus kratos and wukong will occasionally appear in the back ground fighting). That's it so far till I know I should continue cause ahhhh I don't wanna sit here with like 5 pages of comments for just a lil story and possibilities of where and how kratos should go about his final chapter

You know what would've been cool, If a Greek god or Demi-god went to Asgard in search of information about the whereabouts of Kratos, which we wouldn't yet find out until almost at the end of the story, and Odin saw this as an opportunity for some sort of scheme he has. This could then be a part of the plan as to why Odin invites Atreus to Asgard. Hear me out, Atreus goes to Asgard as he did in Ragnarok, he then meets this Greek god or demi-god but neither of them know who the other is as Atreus calls himself Loki, then we go on with Odin showing Atreus around the place, giving introductions and so on, then Atreus becomes friends with the Greek god/Demi-god, but we don't know they came from Greece, only that they came from a faraway land. Then Atreus Bonds with him and shows full trust. Later on, when Kratos goes to Asgard during Ragnarok, Atreus tries to introduce his new friend but the guy immediately recognises Kratos and then goes on a rant about how long he has waited for that oppertunity before then attacking Kratos, Leaving Atreus wondering why. This could've been used as a setup for the next big bad in the series, and because we too bonded with him throughout the game via Atreus, we would be conflicted as to how to feel about this.

We could have easily fought a portion of the 2nd Thor fight on the rainbow bridge, he could have flew us out there during the final battle and we would have seen the scale of the war and also fought him there. Missed oppurtunity indeed.

The norse saga felt wasted bro. They should've kept the trilogy and I'm pretty sure overall plot would've been Kratos trying to save his family and prevent Atreus and his children (Jormie, Fenrir, Hel) from participating and dying in Ragnarok ala the OG myth. Pretty delicious for storytelling too because it'd give Odin and Kratos the same goal, the ways they'd go about it though would obviously be different. Going that way, the "breaking fate" theme would've been so much more emotional and much more in line with the things GOW 2018 setup.

We didn't see Greek gods, but we heard their names and stories or about them (Calliope, Deimos, Zeus, Poseidon, Hephaestus, Pandora etc.) The Sisters of Fate and the Oracle too😅

I'm writing this because no one ever noticed the big mistake at the end of gow2(I've been watching some speedruns lately) Kratos pulls back his thread of life to go back in time to fight Zeus. HIS OWN thread. Totally fine. But then, after defeating Zeus and killing Athena what did he do? He pulls back the same thread, his own, to go back to the time of the great war between gods and titans. He didn't even exist during that time. His own thread is not long enough backwards to reach that war. His thread stops at his birth. It should have been Zeus' thread that he uses to get back to that time. Then I thought maybe it's his destiny to be in that fight so maybe he used the thread to go to his own future. But then I looked at the pictures rewinding onto that big mirror. Nope, the images are still going backward, not forward. So, inaccuracy. Big time.

@Stephen1873 no that's not why i say that. Just brainstorming large scale battles for the sake of content will feel empty. There's a mythology and a previous canon to follow and build upon. Kuba's stories blend extremely well with exploring the obscure parts of the real world mythology the game is based/titled after, along with the themes and histories of the older GoW games that came before it. Kuba's theories are great because they _PUSH_ previous limits, not because there aren't any limits at all.

Just as I did, we know there is hints atreus can turn into animals in gow 2018 right? and we know from norse myth jormungandr is atreus's son and that he fights thor. So my quick theory absolutely ties into the story and the norse world.

Honestly I am so much disappointed about pretty much all choices made by santa Monica concerning the plot of Gow ragnarok that I wouldn't even know from where to start thinking of boss fights that could have made it better. One thing is sure: you Kuba would have done a much better job then them, and the predictions you made are the proof of it

I mean, how would we have a game that goes back in time, to greece, to egypt and has a massive war against Asgard, while also having Kratos go back to Hel to meet Baldur and to the bottom of the world tree while still having the story they wanted to tell The goal wasn't a game like GoW 3. And it is still a great game

Freyja WAS actually a boss fight, when she fought as Valkyrie Vanadis. So, that one was correct, only not in the way you thought

maybe during is travel to find the remaining giant Atreus will learn what Kratos did to his previous family and this will be the catalyst to Atreus becoming the trickster d/ck that Loki is in norse mythos.

I'll say it to you straight I am not a Final Fantasy fan although I did play through FF16 2 times...there is a lot of stupid drivel in the game that weighs it down HEAVILY like fetch quest type things...but the boss fights whether it be mini bosses or main story ones EASILY make up for the cons if you have not played the game play it I wishhhh GOW had boss fights like FF16 it would be super fucking hype after playing FF16 you'll look at GOWR/2018 boss fights like they are a joke its insane how good they are, the spectacle, the pacing, the over the top-ness is incredible and theres 1 boss fight in FF16 that you can directly compare to GOWR because of one character your going to wish they treated him different in GOWR just try it man!

I wouldn’t say fighting a light elve lord, thor the god of thunder, the fast and unpredictable heimdall, the all father, freya as a jet like valkryie, 2 FUCKING valkryies, a keeper of the world tree, garm, etc were generic

At the end when you fight Thor when he says no to odin and drops he's hammer the reason Thor did fight odin is because he saw hi daughter and odin didn't so Thor decided to let her see what kind of person odin is by giving he's life and in doing so sets is daughter done a better path/road to be better and do good

Yeah ngl ragnarok was mad disappointing, they really shouldve made it into a trilogy, a duology didnt do it enough justice

Now the hype is gone and I've successfully moved on from GOW

tbh i liked your theories more than i liked the actual story they put out. i was so disappointed in Ragnarok. The story was so boring and bland. miss GOW 2018. i miss Cory Barlog.

Gow Ragnarok was not a masterpiece. It was a mediocre game which didn’t meet most of our expectations. A emotional Kratos is a bad choice as if he is losing testosterone or something. We need a game to equal out God of War three.
