So the place you saw with the DRC, French, Togo, Ivorian, CAR, Senegal, Mauritius, Swiss, Canadian, and Belgian flags is the Notre Dame de France French Catholic church. Which makes sense because all those nations are Francophone. The church was the first cast-iron church built in London back in 1868. It faced a lot of damage during WWII and thanks to the help of Prime Minister Anthony Eden, the French ambassador to the UK, French Ambassador, and French cultural attaché René Varin, repairs were completed to make it a new sacred space that would honor France in the late 50s Also, that Iranian embassy had a big siege in 1980 where 26 people were held hostage and two of them died. So regarding the police there...better be safe than sorry

seriously though, if you want to know more, the protests are because the current government pretty much stole all the tax money, and we're now in a debt trap ): but it's the first time even sri lankan immagrants joined in protesting which means you can join them and help no matter where you are in the world.

Hey Jack, I have an idea for a new series. So you know how you learned all the countries of the world I was thinking you could do that but instead from a different century (for example 1800s) I think that would be very interesting showing all the different empires and could be somewhat hard because some of those nations are quite obscure.

4:58 As a Sri Lankan i know why they are protesting. Its all because we arent getting much time to use lights or gas and water and more so people are protesting because the government is kind of selfish and people are protesting there and infront of our Prime Minister kind of guys home. For me, it was the opposite, lol. As an American, I was if anything a little surprised at how hard it is to find flags. I knew that we had way more flags than most other countries, but I didn't realize by quite how much (in my small 1 mile x 1 mile neighborhood, there are probably at least 5 US flags, several Ukraine flags, one Brazil flag, and a couple pride flags)

I mean almost all of the embassies/consulates/high commissions in the UK are in London, within a 2 mile radius of Hyde Park. Most of those are along or just off the A4 and/or A315. I had to make the trip to the Dutch embassy a few years back as my gf at the time needed a new passport. We walked from Victoria station and whichever way you make that journey, you're going to see a buttload of flags. Hyde Park is lovely, but jeez the busy roads around it are so polluted and gross, so it's not the best journey to make.
