got my dentures too yesterday and I didn't know this speaking problem for those who are new in wearing dentures. I should get used to this quickly or my students will teach me to pronounce correctly

How are they now I see you are 5 months in, I literally got mine Partial on top full set bottoms today.

For me 1 month was the time it took for me to get used to it you really are learning how to eat again it’s definitely different but my mouth after one month it almost feels normal I’ll give you some advice the dental adhesive was a game changer for me !!! Fixadent is my best friend and I never leave the house without a tube in my pocket just in case

Are you able to eat everything?

To be honest, it was easier to get used to my prosthetic lower leg (below knee amputee) than it it’s been getting used to this upper denture thus far. It’s only been just over a month. So I’m hoping it will get easier after they do some adjustments and a soft reline.

It's the getting used to the feel of them that can take awhile I suppose.

My dentures fit well but it feels like I'm wearing those hillbilly teeth lol

Realize many dentists know little to nothing about doing impressions and the rest of it,you probably will never get used to a poorly made denture doesn't look riht ,fit right and made cheaply ,,,on top of that insurance wont pay for it,,,,,

Does life shorten with dentures
