    Glad Theo made this video It’s hard to have an actual idea of how impressive Kipchoge’s record break is unless you have running experience. Seeing this just shows the levels at which Kipchoge is at. What a specimen he is.

    @@adityakr7895 I don’t know if he is from this area,but Kenya has an area where people live that’s 8000 feet above sea level. Being born and raised in that altitude mean your lungs work twice as hard as everyone else’s until they have adjusted to it. Then they train up there. Their lungs are something people that live at sea level couldn’t understand without altitude masks. People like kipchoge are just marvels

    It's so much easier on a treadmill which is the crazy part. It's twice as hard running on concrete like kipchoge did

    Seen a few say the treadmills a lot easier but for me personally I find running outside at that pace a lot easier than on a treadmill, though Kipchoge’s pace is insane either way 😅

    Agreed cam. I used to think treadmil was easier when I ran once ina blue moon...now I run 30miles a week on road and treadmil is awful I sweat buckets and find it way harder even an easy pace seems harder than on road imo.

    kelvin kiptum is gonna smoke kipchoge's record. he's 23 and already just 16 seconds off the WR time in his second ever marathon. he smashed kipchoge's course record by over a minute in london. he'll be first to go sub 2 in less than 3 years and he'll do it in berlin.

    Excellent to see this type of content on mainstream KZread, however as a semi experienced athlete seeking international selection in the coming months and to compete in the next commonwealth games. I still find it mind blowing the achievements Kipchoge has achieved. He is so good his only opponent is the clock

    I loved this video Theo :D hope to colab with you someday as I love your athletic based content ie- running, marathons, and football and all the in between :D I can run a 5k in roughly high 14 or around 15min but what they do in marathons is beyond me lol longest race I have ever done was as a footballer/soccer player in College in the off season I ran a couple X-Country 10ks for fun just to see how I would do but didn't do it under my College team as I wasn't good enough lol and sadly they don't do 5ks :P I can basically sprint/run a 5k but after that pacing is key :/

    that treadmill is not calibrated properly, no way based on your previous running you can hit a sub 3:00/km lad

    hes done a sub23-24 5k if im not wrong.which is 4:40 pace. hell easily be able to do a sub 3 1 k. anyone with a sub25 5k will be able to especially if ur younger

    @@JosephExplores i mean it really depends on age. for eg if u do a lot of sprint work for eg play a high intensity sports and are able to finish a 22-23 5k its pretty easy.about 5-7 memebers of my team were able to do it and none can run a sub20 5k

    the more tries they get the higher the time would get, because of seeing the competition and have a target to achieve, that's why at the end they just kept getting higher.
