HOW LONG CAN I LEAVE MY MALTESE BICHON ALONE?
Maltese bichons should not be left at home for long periods without you, but older dogs can be left for a much longer period without supervision.
A Maltese poodle can be left home alone for about two hours up to the age of six months. Adult Maltese dogs should not be left alone for more than eight hours. No matter how long you leave them home alone, you should always make sure they have adequate water and shade if they are left outside and have to deal with the weather.
Maltese bichons under six months old require constant care and are not mature enough to be left alone. At this age they are too vulnerable and are definitely not trained to be left alone for a long period of time.
A Maltese bichon is especially small due to the size of their breed and can crawl into nooks and crannies (very narrow holes) and get stuck or lost. Puppies are also full of energy and are not likely to sit and wait patiently or for you to return.
How to leave your Maltese bichon at home alone and make sure he is safe
If you need to leave your Maltese bichon alone, there are certain precautions you should take to ensure his safety (and the safety of your home from the puppy). These precautions include:
Leaving water
You should leave them a small amount of water in a bowl that they can drink from without falling or spilling it. Puppies are notorious for knocking over water bowls and making a big wet mess. You should make sure the bowl has a rubber bottom so it can't be pushed over and knocked over.
An automatic drip feeder or water dispenser is a great solution for puppies that tend to knock over their bowls. It will keep dispensing water all day long for your little Maltese bichon to sip on. These water dispensers are available online at Amazon.
They should be caged in an area or put in a dog crate.
If you put them in a dog crate, you will minimize the time you can leave them alone. A crate requires you to come and take them out at least every 1.5 hours to 2 hours.
If you have a puppy play area that your Maltese bichon can roam and play in that is fenced in, you can extend the time spent alone to about 3 hours.

Mi perrita Any es una cruza de french poolde con maltés y es un ángel, bien portada, tranquila y con toda la paciencia para esperarme hasta que llegue del trabajo, claro que le doy su comida en la mañana y en la noche antes de que se duerma, le dejo su trastecito con agua y otro con un poco de croquetas por si le da hambre, cuando me descanso ella también se descansa y nunca ladra por ladrar, sabe respetar mi sueño y yo la amo 💗. Tiene sus juguetes y le gusta jugar con ellos y me invita a jugar con ella y yo accedo, me gusta hacerla feliz.
Murió mi perrita y cada vez que veo una igual lloro .

Mi perrita es una Maltipoo, es tierna y adorable. Me pide en las noches subir a la cama allí se duerme, luego la bajo a su camita. Es muy limpia, hace sus necesidades en su pad. A ellos no les gusta estar solos Tenemos uno en casa y nunca lo dejamos solo porque está muy consentido y sufre mucho y se pone a llorar porque es muy sensible Si no lo puede cuidar permanentemente o tenerlo con usted busque otra raza porque esta raza es muy sensible delicada y no le gusta estar solo no es recomendable paseador de perros no lo haría !! Es muy delicado para andar con otras razas de perros
Hola el mío tiene 14 meses y no para de hacer pipi donde le da la gana lo sacamos 3 veces al día a la calle incluso se hace pipi en la cama de mi hija que es donde duerme es increíble 😭
