Yeah , it's pretty much canon as Levi legit hints that he loves her in the Japanese translation, the English translation changed it as it was double entendre hard to translate. Even their eye injuries complete each other.

The look Levi gives Hange right before they go off to sacrifice their life was so heartbreaking. Even though they were very different, I think they understood and respected each other and had a high degree of mutual trust. I don't know if Levi could be said to ever truly have had friends because he was so emotionally closed off, but if he did Hange was certainly his closest.

Actually, the reason why they’re so highly shipped in Japan is because there’s a lot of subtle choices in their dialogue with each other that hints towards a possible romantic relationship between, but because of how differently Japanese and English is structured it’s impossible to translate it. I’m very sad about how much Levihan hinting I’m missing because of the language barrier:(

In the ocean scene Sasha litteraly got sea water in her eyes and Jean drank sea water . Levi is a protective boyfriend and bro/cousin Mikasa called him short and he didn't mind during the Armin and Erwin too
