I'd always pronounced it as "Boh-sh" with the same vowel sound as "toast."

I still prefer the Legends version because I have respect for the people that worked hard on Shadows of the Empire to make make it fit in that timeline.

I thought she got the detonator idea from Han, possibly from a story he told her from those days, as seen in Solo.

I like to think that the differences in Legends and Canon is all caused by some sort of butterfly effect in the era before the Republic. Some Rakatan probably stepped on an insect, fast forward 30,000 years, and the Solo siblings are replaced with Ben Solo and the First Order, Mara Jade and Ben Skywalker don't exist, and Chewie survives past 25 ABY.

Stig Lapoint Actually she is bisexual. She did admit she found Luke to be attractive during the screaming citadel arc (worst arc of the SWC series). And I actually meant them more as a comedic duo rather than a couple but I could honestly see them as a couple. Though Aphra is a tough girl to tame (when not using lethal force on her).

Dash Rendar is the least likely part of Shadows of the Empire to be made canon. He was made to be a Han Solo knock off and his character is boring. The memorable parts of Shadows (the Outrider, Faleen) have already been made canon.

I like them getting the suit from Maz, but other than that I prefer the Legends version

I definitely prefer the Legends story. "Shadows of the Empire" (the novel, comics, game and soundtrack) was much better than the canon version. I'd love to see Xizor and Dash Rendar show up again someday!

In battlefront 2 it says that she got it from maz, when I saw that I freaked OUT! 😂😂

Black mailing the Black Sun, seems legit

I like both. Different but still enjoyable. If your going to compare more events in canon to legends after Thrawn alliances comes out I’d like to see his full history in the two. Or maybe James Lucenos Dark Lord Darth Vader novel compared to the first year arc of the current DV series.

Shadows of the Empire was one of my favorite Star Wars novels when I was a kid, to bad it doesn't fit into the new Canon.

I like them BOTH. Neither seems better, more or less plausible, more or less entertaining than the other. I do hope that before too long, LucasFilm makes a new version of Shadows of the Empire. Combining the new canon with as much as they can salvage from the old. It was the closest thing ANYTHING from the old EU came to being a full blown canon production. I'd love to see it honored and revived.

The Black Sun getting Blackmailed oof

In Ubese Boushh is more of an ʉ sound (see the ipa chart) we know this because of in return of the jedi when Boushh turns to boba after receiving the bounty he asks “Douccha” as a polite sort of “how did I do?”

This story is also briefly mentioned in the description for this skin in Battlefront 2

What about a video comparing what we know about Luke's Jedi order in canon and in Legends?

In Battlefront 2, it says in the skin description that Maz gave it to her.

I would like to see a comparison between the Han Solo Trilogy by A.C. Crispen (notably the book rebel Dawn) and the new Solo movie. No matter what, A.C. Crispens version is my cannon.

You know as much as i prefer canon over legends material, i really am not a fan of the forces of destiny shorts. As much as a appreciate the fact that its just a small segmented series targetted toward a much younger audience, and i really do appreciate and respect that stretch in terms of age demographic. I would much prefer the idea of them sticking to the more small, insignificant and subtle story elements as oppose to the much prominant story elements such as how leia claimed boushes armour, and im sure that there are other stories lile this, which i would prefer if they left alone, for a more mature audience. I like the idea of them doing small and insignificant shorts in the story, but i think that they should leave the bigger story explinations that answers questions between films, to the comics, novels or tv series, because the limitations and restrictions for the child demographics is just too not only restricting for story telling, but also means that the more mature audience are likely to miss out on the more important canon matrrial that comes from it.

Peter Conlon i mean, this feels pretty small and insignificant to me.. its a good way for the kids to actually be interested in the OT as well, intead of just the cartoons... but ultimately it feels like you might just mind more significance in small things than a lot of others do... not a bad thing, just an observation... mainly my point is that i think disney IS trying to make these obscure and small and insignificant, but everything is significant to someone and they cant make every episode of FoD be a character eating toast... anyways, at least you have these videos, so youre not gonna miss the detail

Shadows of the Empire is still my favorite book I've read in Canon and Legends, so of course I would pick the legends side of how Leia got the disguise and the detonator anytime.

George Lucas loved Shadows of the Empire so much I claimed had it came out years earlier he wouldve maxe a film out of it.

🤔 tough choice. See the Legends story would make sense if Boba Fett didn’t know Leia was an imposter which tipped Jabba to ruin her plans to rescue Han. He either got the information from Black Sun or witnesses during the skirmish in Ord Mantel.

Definitely prefer Shadows of the Empire to the Force of Destiny series. More story and effort was put into Shadows of the Empire than Forces of Destiny and it shows. Not to mention it was the first Star Wars multi-media project. George Lucas has even stated that he loved Shadows of the Empire.

Apathetic Infidelity while that's an interesting sentiment I'll give you that ,I have to tell you how foolhardy that is, the EU is dead, and was more fanfictuon than the new canon. There is no debate in that, you may not like the new canon but there are a lot more that do, especially younger generations that will enjoy it, shaking your fist at the Disney ruled skies isn't changing anything. And just spreading negativity to those that enjoy it just has the opposite effect.
