Venom Snake’s disarm is legit but risky. He has the advantage of his gear and his bionic arm to pull this disarm. However, if us humans were to attempt this disarm, we risk getting cut badly. It’s safer to either run away, or if you must, do an x-block with the back of your hands. You’re still going to get cut, but at least you cut the back of your forearms instead of the front which is closer to your wrist.

@@ScenicFights is there a way to get his level of reflexes or close to it even if the enemy’s attacks aren’t telegraphed/obvious and attacks are happening/about to happen behind you or beside you just somewhere out of your vision? I’ve seen people dodge and block attacks and things being thrown at them from behind or beside them without them having to turn around and see. Like I want those reflexes were nothing can hit me even if out of my sight. And no not with a bionic arm or transforming into the world’s best soldier. 😓

Actually funny you mention the non biotic arm disarm. In the game, there is a cutscene where a child soldier (I forgot his name) tries to take down one of the diamond dog soldiers. When the kid goes in to attack him he attempts to disarm him using the back of his forearms which stops him from getting cut.

nah I just forgot about him. I actually have played the phantom pain and it's really good. In fact, I enjoyed the game and it's story so much that I have begun to prefer Venom Snake to Solid Snake and Big Boss. By Big Boss, I am referring to the protagonist of MGS3 also known as "Naked Snake". I am clarifying this seeing as you could confuse him with venom snake since they share a title. (I continue to talk about the story of the title, big boss, below. read if you want, but beware, it contains major spoilers for the events taken place in mgsv.) In MGSV, TPP, when big bosses phantom learns that he is not actually the original big boss and is merely a double, Big Boss tells him that the title "big boss" is not just one person but is actually a collective legend built by the two of them. Not just a single entity.

If you decide to fight the Skulls with CQC, Snake will parry their machete attacks with the bionic arm. It’s definitely the coolest way to take them out.

If you look at the regular mother base staff left arms while playing as them, they appear to have a metal plate on their left arms for blade blocking like how Venom has his bionic arm. Which means a lot of them can do his kind of blocking, but only when controlled by a player

If someone thrusts a blade at me I’m SKIDADDLING, precisely.

Damn I literally never noticed how much of an advantage the bionic arm gives him in small moments like this. Not even that he's overpowering her with it, just that he doesn't have to be afraid of getting his wrist sliced open. Great catch from a legit professional.

When I did security, my trainer gave me the best advice for fighting an attacker with a knife. Be sure about getting into this fight. Because you WILL get cut. Run away now or be ready to deal with it.
