i again, Sabrina! As you know, I've been watching your videos for a while, and I've been waiting for the right opportunity to tell you that your English is amazing. When I first started watching you, I thought were Canadian (sometimes you pronounce a word or two like a Canadian would--their accent is very similar to a USA accent, but there are some subtle differences) LOL. Have you ever been to an English-speaking country besides Trinidad? As someone born and raised in the US, I think that if you came here, people would think that you were born here. People would be very, very, very shocked to hear that you were not born and raised here--so very well done! And yes, learning another language opens doors. I studied Spanish for a long time, and I felt like reading in Spanish and then writing in Spanish helped more than anything--seeing "good" sentences and then getting practice making good sentences. Have you ever thought about giving Spanish classes online? I think your story would be a big inspiration to a lot of people. Once again, amazing video!

Sabrina your spoken and written english are excellent. Your advanced ability to speak english is obvious to anyone who watches your videos. The videos also highlight your ability to write well-written scripts in english. Thank you for sharing your story of how you came to speak english in your household.Your mother was amazing and had the foresight to see how speaking english would help your future self. I am looking to travel in central and south America. I need to start learning Spanish. Any recommendations for best way to learn Spanish?

Thank you for the support as always! 😄 I would say that the best way to start learning a language is to get more involved with it little by little. As weird as it sounds, I am a firm believer that you can start getting familiar with a language by watching TV shows and listening to music in Spanish! It will help you start associating words little by little.

@@sabrinahuyke Easy to support something I believe in. Keep doing what you do. I like your idea of watching TV shows. I will commit to watching some shows in Spanish on Netflix. I will also do the standard thing of vocabulary building with Dulingo.

Hahaha thank you! People do tell me that, and when I ask where they would say my accent is from, they never know where to put me exactly!

Your English is great! Thanks for talking about second language learning. I am tired of all these English as a Second Lnguage teachers and "digital nomads" who don't speak a second language. They don't realize how much another language would open up their lives. I teach English to foreigners and notice the most successful English teachers are the ones with a 2nd or 3rd Language. I speak German on a fluent level (but not native) and my Spanish is almost fluent. I work on Spanish every day and I can now 90% understand my Argentine tutor and we now have flowing conversations with a lot of errors on my part. Fluency is not far off. Some time this year I'm going to start a 4th language.

Thank you for the support! I honestly think learning leanguages is one of the best things that people can do. I would love to study Japanese and German! And it's so incredible that you are working on a 4th language, truly impresive!
