Yeppers! I'm quite familiar with those intrusive "I'll do that yesterday" thoughts. Her strategy is a vital remedy. I must follow it: I fret for an hour, unsure which jeans to wear with which top, just to grocery shop. Not good. Maybe I ought to name my clothing, too. 😊

Thats so admirable that you can do that FuryKat. I truly aspire to it. I've tried, but who I am at night is more daring than my morning self going to work ...I always end up changing my mind when I lay out a great outfit. And frantically changing clothes... Its such an annoying personality flaw. What does work for me is monochrome looks . I have some favorite colors and in those colors I have shirts, trousers, jeans and skirts that I can always put together. Black, grey, coral pink, sage green, mustard yellow. First 2 are standard fits and the final 3 lend themselves to fashion forward and more fun. Depending on mood and forecast.

​@@bailegatita having a few backup "I can't even" outfits is a lifesaver for these moods. I'm a planner but I also get moody. Usually it's a dark turtleneck and dark jeans/pants, cute but comfy flats/boots, and earrings with a little bling. Scarf if it's cold. Ambiguous but stylish 😝

Additional tips: You can safety pin a big zip block to the hanger of the emergency outfit to store any smaller items that the outfit or you may need; like specifically required under garnets (like stockings, or low rise socks, etc), or any jewelry you want to dedicated to the outfit, & other emergency hygienic backup items (sample sized perfume/cologne, breadth mints, tweezers, hair ties or hair clips, etc). Any small or spill-able items should go in individual baggies.

Absolutely I look online for outfits, such as using your guides as inspiration, and hang them up so no wrinkles and ready to wear.

Joan Rivers would put the accessories that complimented the outfit on the coat hanger, so everything was ready to go👏🏼❤️

Thank you for making me feel so much better about having multiple emergency outfits, meeting, dinner and outings sets that are prepped for those crazy brain fog days. I have my accessories in a pouch hanging on the same hanger just in case so I can pop them in the bag and put on during traffic light stops to save time

Planning ahead is always the best strategy. I will set out my clothes the night before something I can’t procrastinate over, and make sure all my accessories are there, too. Having everything together except that one pair of spanx or shoes or what-have-you can cause a 30 minute delay right there. Planning makeup ahead is essential for me, too, and having a mindset of not trying anything new or drastic. Stick to the plan.

The joy of skirt suits is they are often sold as separates, so if your top & bottom aren't the same size, it's a non-issue.

I always start to get ready super early because I know I’ll cycle through like 5-7 different outfit variations that I hate only to wear something I’m comfortable in but isn’t suitable for the situation and end up feeling uncomfortable after all. This is a much better strategy!

I 1000% know that I’m a procrastinator, so I always get everything and I mean EVERYTHING including earrings and socks and handbag packed and ready, laid on a chair the previous night when I have something important the next day (because I always seem to have a rush of energy at night lol)

I did this for my five children when they were small and we had to be somewhere the next day. For example: before a vacation where we would be taking an airplane, I liked our family to dress in nice clothing instead of jeans and a t shirt. I laid out the clothes in the upstairs hallway: shoes, socks, skirt or pants, top, hair accessories etc I have fond memories of seeing their outfits laid out like big paper doll clothes on the floor!

It's always good to have a go-to outfit when running late to stuff. Mine's usually a jumpsuit or a really pretty dress, both can be dressed up or down depending on the occassion. My ADHD has planned for those moments 😂😂

I work on the phones with patients, and I've found myself saying it there!!! And then cracking up. It's...a little bit of a problem

I have an “oh shite - I’m late” outfit for every season in my closet and a go-to “don’t have time for this” under 5 minute updo/makeup routine. ADHD lessons learned.

I feel so called out. 😂 I do something similar, but I can't be trusted to have things ironed or have my toenails done, etc, so I have some go-to wrinkle-resistant, forgiving-fit black pants and nice black closed-toe shoes. I can adjust the top and jewelry to best fit the situation. At 44, I've learned I have to assume I'll be running late and just plan for it. My undiagnosed-at-the-time ADHD self could NEVER leave on time for school. My solution in middle school was to sleep in my clothes for the next day. My mom hated it, so I would sneak around to get dressed. Wild times. Lol

I've defo done the sleeping-in-tomorrow's-outfit thing in order to not miss the school bus back in the day... I actually thought at one point in my life that JEANS were comfy to SLEEP IN... either jeans used to be hella comfy or I was a crazy kid. Sure did make getting ready a lot faster, though. These days my I-need-to-wear-real-clothes-tomorrow outfits are just laid out next to everything I need to head out the door. My legs thank me.

I wear a lot of dresses or blouses with pants. Good thing is when I'm late depending on where I'm going it's as easy as throwing on a dress, grabbing my purse and run OR if I need to wear pants then all my blouses go well with all my pants so whatever I grab first works.

My go-to in these situations is always dress + sweater/jacket + my favorite classy black velvet wedge heels 😊

The sped-up laugh and tapping as she walks gets me every time.

My go-to easy outfit is a pencil skirt, blouse/ fitted jacket with booties. Pencil skirts are timeless, fitted minimalist leather jackets look tailored and structured, and sleek. Silk or satin blouse looks effortlessly chic. Booties add a pop of excitement and don't have to be too tall. I do it all in black/ grey, easy to pair with silver, gold or colored jewelry. 🖤🖤🖤

With a skirt, booties are bad for me. I'm short and they chop me up. I opt for knee high boots with my skirts. Monochromatic for a lengthening look. And i dont need to shave.

I'm almost always late. So I grab my accessories and chuck them in a bag or pocket. And put them on in the bus. Quick and simple. Takes me a second to do.
