That shot with the entire tree and the colour in the sky was amazing.
What an amazing break in the sky, those colours really changed the scene. Agree, patience does pay off.
That quarry is well worth visiting in the autumn. The golden yellow autumn leaves in the isolated trees contrast with the grey-blue slate. This is enhanced with low, soft light during November when the colours are at their peak.
I've seen that old quarry in a few videos on youtube, what is great is that every visit is from a different perspective, and, as usual, your approach was uniquely Ian... Great video, thanks, enjoyed every minute - and the sunset, worth the patience!
I bet you're glad you hung around. What a stunning sunset. Great video Ian, thanks for all your hard work. 👌
Intriguing place. I especially liked your suggestions about looking at the screen, then enlarging to hunt for long shots.
What a great payoff to your patience! Those last couple of shots were especially nice.
Wow, patience paid off big time. Love that sunset shot with tree and old stoneworks.
Ha, some 40 years ago I lived on the hillside about half a mile from there. I walked the area but didn’t have the camera bug back then. It was a cottage in which your bones felt the change of each season!
What a wonderful intriguing location, thanks for the tips you certainly made this compelling images.
Some lovely shots Ian and a great location
Great video...and that final shot was simply beautiful. Cheers.
Great advice and another excellent video! Thanks for taking me along!
Very nice. Composition on your shots that you demonstrated made your argument more effective. Neat subject matter.
Excellent content here, Ian! Lots of fine tips AND you make it interesting, thanks! Cheers!
Another great video Ian. Love your approach and the way you tell the stories. Thanks a lot for all your effort ✌
Beautiful images. And I have learned so much from you again. Thank you!
Great work, Ian. Just purchased your ebook on composition. Look forward to getting some great ideas. Keep up the great work bud. 😎👍
So helpful to hear your considered shots and how you resolve the problems. Well worth our time...thanks for yours!
Photos around 7:30 +-, both nice, but I do prefer the B&W one, nicely done again Ian.
Really enjoying your videos Ian. Your presentation style is very engaging
I've said it before and I'll say it again: For those who hasn't bought Ian's book yet really should. It's a GREAT read for anyone on any level of photography. Also, great video per usual Ian, love your adventures. I'd love to hear your thoughts on M4/3 and if you'd consider it as a main camera, as your mate Henry are somewhat doing 😊

I agree its an excellent book. So glad I bought it.
Really love the photo's Ian, great advice, I had a similar experience taking a picture of Durdle Door on the Jurassic coast, all day the light was flat until the very end when the sun came out for only 10-minutes! Great channel love your work
It’s a fascinating place been a few times, love your shots
Great pro tips, Ian! Thanks much.

What incredible photos. Especially the one after the B&W. Stunning area.
