She's a minor for crying out loud, the internet literally destroyed her career, and we don't even know for sure if the allegations are true or not... I thought we would learn from past incidents such as what happened to Woojin, but I guess K-pop stans are so immature that we can't even wait until everything is confirmed. I actually came across two people who seemed very adamant that Garam was a bully. However, when I asked them for evidence that she was guilty, they both told me to look for it myself and to "stop being lazy". The hypocrisy of these people to act like they're smarter than people who defend Garam because they "don't have evidence" and never show any evidence themselves to prove their points is just ridiculous to me. Especially when you remember other k-pop scandals. You know who else said to look for evidence by ourselves when she was asked for it? Kwon Mina, who manipulated people and lied about practically everything in her public life. Not to mention, she always flip flopped between having no evidence and having mountains of evidence, yet she only gave us stories with no evidence. In other words, she started rumors. I find it amazing how every new scandal, the more k-pop stans start acting like Kwon Mina.

Literally, their hero complexity is showing, I've said this before, kpop fans like them don't know what they're saying at all, they just like acting superior. They're hypocritical, I 100% bet if we were to ask them for evidences of Eunseo's statements, to elaborate the whole issue and the details, they won't be able to say shit. All I believe that they'd spit out of their mouth are just one of those ridiculous rumors spreading on the internet, ones that are baseless. To people saying "Get over it", You do know that her actual name has been publicized all over Korea, on tv, newspapers, articles. It's easy to just say get over it, when it's not your life that's been affected. People were quick to bash her and accuse her, why is it now that evidence is coming out that they might be wrong that people that care about her situation should "get over it". Her mother said she is worried for her mental health. Being young doesn't mean trauma and stigma from a situation when you were young won't keep following you. Her life will be difficult now and people who feel bad for her are trying to shed more light on what happened, so that the perception of her will change and her life will be easier. But, all of this will be in vain if people don't reflect on themselves and realize how they contributed to this situation. Clearing her name will be in vain, if kpop stans will still do the exact same thing to the next idol that is randomly accused. People need to learn that accusations are just that, accusations. Not everything should be taken at face value, without clarity on situations. Human beings are capable of lying and altering the truth. Kpop fans do better!!!!!! There's so many holes to the victims' side of the story and so many evidences that points to Garam's innocence but most stans don't give a damn about that. It really opened my eyes and made me realize that most K-pop stans just see idols as characters that they can deem as "good" or "bad" depending on what the narrative is. Tbh, I don't think all accusations were debunked, but she definitely suffered from HYPE mismanagement. They kind of used the scandal to make the group known, and then kicked her out when it was convenient for them. Now, the group is well known, and they have a devoted fan base that is going to protect the remaining members until death because they suffered from the scandal. It is a win for Source Music and HYBE, they managed the scandal really badly and profited off it. Whether she is guilty or not, nobody should be happy that a 16-year-old was bashed, insulted, mocked and bullied online, and eventually got kicked out and lost her career prospect in 2 months. Hopefully she is okay and not suffering too badly mentally. Moral of the story: At the end of the day, company don't care about you, and will dismiss you if you are no longer convenient.

Another thing that truly scares me is what this scandal indirectly told us and every student out there. If you are a victim of bullying or somebody you know is harassed you are not allowed to react because you risk being framed the bully. That is all she did, react to something that somebody else did ( in an immature way, as you do, at 12 for god’s sake, by having a few choice words, incomparable to what the other person did ) and she ended up taking the biggest blow. It tells us that as a victim you should shut up and take it and have the perspective ( as a freaking minor, have perspective... ) that in 5 or 6 or 10 years, whatever you do, even the littlest of things can be twisted to paint YOU as the bad guy. the sick part of all this is that nobody denied that eunseo took and posted nude pictures of garam's friend online, and yet they defended her and treated garam like a monster for defending her friend, as far as we know all garam did was cuss eunseo out, which is what A LOT of people would do in that situation regardless of age, but apparently that's unjustified and bullying while all the randos of the internet dogpiling on her and even violating her over a situation that happened when she was 11 or 12 that they likely didn't know half the context of were somehow justified and righteous, if garam is in the wrong for bullying a bully, then how does it make sense for netizens to bully the bully's bully themselves? the hypocrisy is flat out absurd, all of those people crushed the dreams of a 16-year-old kid while defending someone who, to our knowledge, violated a classmate and fled to another school before she could actually face any consequences, and the person who defended the girl in the pictures now has to live with the trauma of losing a promising career and having her name dragged through the mud on a GLOBAL scale, its beyond shameful, its flat out repulsive and infuriating

I saw people saying "yay" and "yess!!" and "thank god :DDDD". What? Are you demented? How can you find joy after cyberbullying a minor and ruining her career. First, you find and make false info, then you run with it and explode the situation more that it should've been, then once you've basically ended her future, you decide that yes we're going to celebrate the fact that we ruined another idol's career because we are the fans and we have all the power in this industry and who's going blame us? no one! Disgusting. Absolutely revolting. And don't get me started on those tweets: "I know that Everglow up bitch is punching the air rn haha" really? It annoys me that Kpop fans complain that no-one actually looks for real information then attack the people who do. People don’t care about the “victim” like they claim they do they just had fun getting someone kicked out of a kpop group. They like knowing that together they had that much power. And I agree with the point of how are you going to bully someone for being a bully? It doesn’t make you any better, but they think it does because it’s “justifiable” since garam is an alleged “bad person” but they didn’t harass garam on the “victim’s” behalf, they just wanted to join in on the rumors and mobs that were hating on her and that’s messed up because she’s a CHILD imagine the impact of being globally hated has on your still developing brain. I really hope she can get better and I hope things turn out good for her in the end. When will this stop?? People need to stop jumping on a bandwagon and attacking people based off a rumor/ scandal. How many people’s careers, lives, and mental health have been ruined due to things like these, later to be proven false; soojin, woojin skz, Kim Seon-ho (actor). It’s so messed up, if you’re reading this and have watched this whole garam thing go down please take this as a learning lesson to not use your accounts to harm others, or at least not believe rumors until everything fully sorted out so the wrong person doesn’t get attacked.

There were so many things that pissed me off with this whole case. First of all was people having a problem with HYBE defending Garam. Like, what the absolute fuck. I’m a Neverland and I am still horrified to this day how Cube did nothing, NOTHING, to protect Soojin and just let her go without trying to keep her. Everyone was crying about that, but suddenly HYBE protecting Garam and trying to prove her innocence is a problem? Which goes to my second issue: “there is enough evidence against her”. The ONLY REAL piece of evidence we had was that disciplinary action document, and even that wasn’t enough to confirm she bullied someone. Everything else was rumors that I have heard countless of times with previous scandals. Another issue for me was that Kpop stans on social media acted like they know the Korean school system. The likelihood that those people have no goddamn idea how the school violence committee in Korea works is terribly high. Fourth is really the lack of research that all those baseless TikTok videos that went viral spread and only made Garam look worse. The fact people used TIKTOK, literally the most unreliable app when it comes to actual facts, as their evidence and information source says a lot about those Kpop stans. Fifth was the fact people were acting like Garam was going to permanently damage Le Sserafim’s reputation and that she could have been their downfall. I’m snorting just writing this. Honey, SAKURA and CHAEWON, who were part of IZ*ONE, aka, previously one of the BIGGEST and MOST BELOVED 4th gen girl groups, are in Le Sserafim. Their existence in that group was enough for the girls to not flop. Before anyone knew of Garam, everyone was waiting for them (especially Sakura) to debut again. So don’t tell me that you only heard of Le Sserafim because there was a potential bully there (emphasis on the only). Sixth was the fact people were saying Le Sserafim looks happier without Garam and that a five-member group looks better. Nah y’all, that’s just you being a Garam hater. Am I the only one who noticed the girls looked hella exhausted when they had to cover her parts, not to mention, a member who had a lot of lines? If anything, it looked so empty without her and I noticed her absence right away. I still can’t believe Garam has left Le Sserafim now, but I am not blaming HYBE or SouMu here, and this is not because I am a HYBE stan. They were willing to protect her, otherwise they wouldn’t have come out with their side of the story or let her debut. But they’re not stupid enough to see what the public thinks of them and that fans don’t believe them at all. I firmly believe that the only reason they let Garam go was because of a, the pressure from the media and everyone throwing hands at them, and b, they knew that even if they proved Garam innocent, people will still continue to molest her with their hate comments and no one will be satisfied unless she’s out of the group. If you’re planning to reply to me and call me hateful words, save it. Don’t waste your time

Kpop stans who bully Garam aren't really seriously concerned about bullying, they're just happy to find someone they can insult and make fun of without feeling guilty (because they think she deserves it). I really hope the court handling this case releases the results publicly to clarify Garam's position, she is still very young and must live on with her life. If this case is left hanging with no clear outcome, the public will continue to hate her and it will be difficult for her to be accepted in society.

I got bullied for 8 school years. in elementary school no one wanted to play with me or invite me to any birthdays. From 5 to 7 grade people who weren't in my class tried to bully me for being black, my sexuality or my name. When we moved and I attended a new school that's when I experienced the worst bullying in my life. Isolation, constant insults, psysical attacks. People were spreading rumors about me online. People also took videos of me and spread it on Facebook. I remember coming from the school toilette and there was a huge crowd with their phones and the teachers did nothing. I wish that I had a friend like Garam back them, who could actually protect me. People are calling her a bully not realising that the other girl took pornographic images of a child. This whole situation just showed me that K-pop fans are bullies and disgusting human beings. Also Koreans say that they hate bullying but have the biggest bullying problem in the world. I am so done with the world of K-pop. I also saw a bunch of people say that it is ok to bully her since she is a bully. All of them act so innocent although they are the biggest bullies out there. This whole situation is like the Mina, Jimin situation. Oh poor victim and their mental health. What about the person you are all attacking. I feel like they all just want her to commit suicide. I feel like HYBE made two major oversights: 1. What you mentioned in that they couldn’t have predicted how people would react to this. 2. How much power they actually hold. To all of the people saying “HYBE/BigHit should be in the Big 3!” THIS is why they aren’t. Just over the past two years alone starting with Irene’s scandal for losing her temper, how many idols have been let go by SME, JYPE, or YGE? Heck, there was actually evidence enforcing the fact that Hyunjin wasn’t the greatest classmate. But he’s still in Stray Kids. Now look at other idols like Soojin. Kicked out of their group. HYBE/BigHit is not on the same level as these other companies. They have the power and the influence to get the Korean public (again, the only group of people who really matter in KPop) to have faith in them to handle the situation accordingly. Do they? Heck no. And usually it ends up with Taeyong apologizing for things that didn’t happen and he wasn’t even involved in. But that’s the reputation and relationship that these companies have built over the last few decades. The only thing HYBE/BigHit has going for them is BTS. And unless RM came out and made a speech defending Garam (since Armys take whatever he says as the equivalent of a modern day Jesus Christ), there was nothing that the company could do/say to convince anyone that she was innocent once things got out of control. Which they did. Extremely fast. HYBE/BigHit has proven how much more they care about profits over their idols (no surprises there) by prioritizing Lesserafim’s debut over getting this legal case resolved. Like EGU said, they have Sakura and Chaewon. There are still people waiting for Chaeyeon to re-debut. They could have waited and they obviously had NewJeans sort of ready (if they didn’t also run into a scandal…). Like seriously, we lost GFriend for this mess? And the think that makes me the angriest is that I didn’t care about the group at first. I’m not one of those “I was a stan before they even debuted” pick-mes. And now, I’m fully invested in this because I’m furious that not only did Garam potentially have to give up her dream after training so hard, but she’s also being bullied in school again (ON TOP of the cyber bullying)! This is another problem with debuting underaged idols. When this stuff happens to teenagers, it looks like we’re watching an irl drama as opposed to when it happens to adults and it’s taken a little more seriously. I want to say that I’m disappointed in KPop stans. But in order to be disappointed, I would have needed to have expected better from them in the first place. After the last two years, my expectations are so low and yet they still can’t be met. Ridiculous. I hope that it doesn’t happen, but I wouldn’t be surprised if we see a headline saying “Kim Garam, former member of Lesserafim, rushed to emergency room after attempting to take her own life”. One can only pray that it would only be an attempt. And y’all then wanna bring up idols like Sulli… If you’re bullying/harassing a minor whether in person or online, you don’t get to bring up the people who took their own lives because of the constant hatred they endured. And now we play the waiting game as to what’s next. How much do you want to bet that Kwon Mina’s going to claim that aliens abducted her and it’s Shin Jimin’s fault?

Actually the response for international fans were apparently more for this case than Korea's. It was only the pann users who were actually caring about it. Even the new jeans scandal is happening among international fans. They are doing really great in the melon charts. Lsm's debut song was doing really well in the charts even while this was going on.Also there is a difference between the idols you mentioned and Garam, they got into scandal much later into their career, meaning they already had a fanbase doing half the job of defending them. As for skz Hyunjin even if there is proof, he is a male idol, so he'd never be held to the same standards as a female idol. Usually the cases that blew up about bullying or any kind of attitude controversies usually only involve female idols. Irene got tons of hate too, even if she was a senior idol, she had to go on a hiatus till it blew over, which rv could afford at that time because of Wendy's injury. Lucas is still not back. As for likability or influence, yg is not exactly liked by the gp as well. These company are big 3 not because of their influence over gp, but due to their influence over the media.

I agree, nothing but facts. Korea cares a lot about bullying for the right reasons, but they aren't dealing with it in the best way. To resolve this issue all hybe had to do is make garam and the victim speak with hybe and the victim's representation present at the scene. She could have been put on hiatus and made a genuine non-prompter apology to the public if she did do it, or just apologized in general about the scandal if she didn't. Garam did not have to leave, good things should happen for everyone, just because they may have done one bad thing as a teen that does not mean they should lose that blessing. I like how JYPE handles situations, and I noticed Irene's scandal blew over after some time, no one would have remembered this much if they let Garam apologize directly to the victim. Now it will forever be remembered as a messy scandal and garams in the public eye. She will be bullied now which is already happening. Korea don't really care about bullying they just act like they do, because the actions do not match the activism they project.

People don’t care about defending the victim. They just want something to be outraged about. Some fans are so hypocritical, they hate bullies but yet bully a teenager, & act like they know the idols personally like they’re their bestie or the whole situation. It’s the Mina and Jimin situation all over again.

I love how kpop fans will talk about mental health and worry about their faves having mental health issues when we as the fans might be contributing a lot more than we think; Imagine being in their shoes and knowing that someone could bring up a past incident you had and all of a sudden everyone has made up their minds about the fact that you are guilty, without knowing the full story, and thousands of people around the world are all sending you threats and bullying you online while celebrating the downfall of a career you worked so hard to achieve, all while still being a child. Babes we are literally a part of the problem in regards to the mental problems kpop celebrities face.

I still believe that the reason for all the hatred began for the simple reason that Garam was the member that initially captured the public's attention... people were so desperate to find an excuse to freely hate her whay before the bullying accusations and it shose...

I'm so glad I stayed unbiased during this whole situation but watching the amount of hate forwarded towards her was honestly painful. Attacking a 16 year old, making tiktoks, tweets, videos and articles about how she is a massive bully while cyberbullying her back doesn’t make you a better person. You are becoming exactly what you are judging in others.

I have been saying this for a long time and probably keep on saying this, but whenever an issue comes on, stay neutral about it, dont express your opinions and bully a LITERAL CHILD, let it be. Im scared for her because of HYBE terminating her contract, she wont get any jobs. She trained for a very long time and now she has to go back to school. it disgusts me seeing ot5 stans trying to make chaewon, sakura, yunjin, kazuha, and eunchae look like mean bitches as well. they make tweets saying “they’re celebrating” and take chaewon jokingly telling garam to get away out of context, saying she really meant it. they claim to be against bullying then make the other 5 seem like bullies. why would they celebrate their friend getting kicked out of the group for swearing at someone in middle school? i agree with you, hybe should’ve postponed lesserafim’s debut. if not that, then don’t make the other 5 promote without garam after daeryun and eunseo opened their mouths. this is why hybe isn’t in the big 3 and the big 4 doesn’t exist. irene was accused of yelling at a stylist, lucas was accused of being a shitty boyfriend, and taeyong was accused of bullying but sm didn’t kick any of them out. hyunjin was accused of bullying which turned out to be an altercation in middle school, when park bom got in her drug scandal, she wasn’t kicked out of 2ne1. like cube, hybe only cares about profits. they saw how people loved ot5, so they kicked garam out. i have said this multiple times and i will say it again: kpop stans never learn. shin jimin, woojin (people still think he’s guilty for some reason), soojin, and t-ara were proven innocent after false accusations that ruined their careers, but those same people who felt bad about their careers being ruined will dogpile on the next idol who gets accused of bullying, sa, etc. instead of staying neutral, because believing the victim is better according to them. i think out of all the fandoms i’ve been in, the kpop fandom is the worst, especially on twitter and tiktok.

I was on her side since the start, tho I honestly didn't say anything defending her bc I didn't want d**th threats from stans but holy shit. I think K-pop stans are the most brainless type of people online. The way I screamed when I saw a post from Globalmyeon showing her written up desk with malicious words on it, only for the comments to say " oh well it's ot5 now so whatever" or " well, you probably shouldn't bully the bully" EVEN THO SHE CLEARLY WASN'T A BULLY IN THE FIRST PLACE is so frustrating. As someone the same age as Garam, I know how hard this is going to affect her mentally and I hope she gets the support she needs because this entire situation is so appalling.

Some people who hate kim garam (and the ones who dont even know her) are taking this opportunity to be evil, and later, justify "because shes was a bully. Shes deserved it!" No! What makes me laugh is how many people are saying we are over reacting. What do you call all of the people who were whining and screaming for Kim Garam to leave the group? Or the ones attacking the people who decided to stay neutral in the comments? They were the ones who were giving themselves a hero complex in the name of bullying. And using their emotions to cast judgment instead of looking for actual proof and thinking logically about this. “Think of eunseo!” “What would you do if you were bullied” For argument’s sake, let’s pretend that it was definitely proven that Garam was a bully, almost everyone has experienced bullying and you can get all the help and empathy you need. I personally went to therapy for it and that helped a lot. And yes if you experience bullying and oppression you deserve all the empathy and healing. But that doesn’t mean to bully the person back. Or spend all you’re waking moment thinking about the bully and wishing death or ill towards them. If you do that then you’re just as bad as the bully.

My take: While an incident apparently happened when Garam was 12 (yes, TWELVE) nothing about anything indicates this constituted a pattern of behavior. Also, the reason why we have evidence about an incident ever even occurring was because the adults who were responsible for the kids involved apparently took things seriously and corrected their behavior with disciplinary measures (with the exception of this one girl who moved out). Garam clearly paid for whatever happened, then moved on - just like things should have happened. Determining from this that she's apparently completely irredeemable is NOT AN APPROPRIATE LEVEL OF CONSEQUENCES HOLY S***. Also, this will probably follow her for her entire life in SK. She'll never escape this, unless the whole thing gets clarified somehow later. How is this in any way proportional?! Also, I'm an adult. The people we are talking about are minors. Even if someone was a bully at 16 (let alone, again, TWELVE) it would be even worse for me to cyberbully them out of their career. (Edit: took out a profanity.)

Boah, yes I have read that so many times. They act like she committed a murder or something. Or the ones who say that you can not change in 4 years ... like 12 and 16 is so different, that is literally from High school musical to Euphoria. And you always have the ones, who thing she deserves a worser punsihment, who I just think 1. It wasn't even bulling. 2. The school probably have her the best punishment, that is usefull. Because it seems to me most people don't know if, but a school should not only punish.

I hope Garam can come back as a soloist or something. She truly didn't deserve any of this bs. I don't know 100% for sure if she's guilty of the accusations or not, but people really did her dirty with the misinformation being spread. With the evidence made public (such as her school's actual punishment system) it really seems that there is more to the story but it's embarrassing to see how people are literally ignoring all of this so they can strengthen their narrative of Garam being the villain.

also it annoys me that when garam's contract got terminated people immediately went using lesserafim's members name to celebrate and make fun of her? like who are you to know what the members felt and what they were thinking when this happened, do you know them? did they say this to you? "sakura this" "chaewon that" "eunchae is finally getting lines" ALSO THE FACT THEY KEEP BRINGING UP WONYOUNG JUST BECAUSE THEY GO TO THE SAME SCHOOL??? "Wonyoung when she sees garam" "Wonyoung going to garam's dorm" like why are you bringing someone that isn't involve in this? also why would you think wonyoung would do anything when she does see garam? you expect her to fight garam? its really sad because if either garam is actually proven innocent those titkoto videos won't be deleted by people that posted them because "people have their own opinions" or something stupid they can make excuses of.
