Regarding the vocal training I'm unsure but again, I wouldn't be surprised at all, I wish the girls would get enough training specially Liz, she is so good but it's clear that she can be even better. I won't tell you Starship isn't behind all of this cause they could be since they have done nothing but fuel the hatred against Wonyoung with outfits, more lines, screentime, you get the idea. i have so many mixed feelings about this whole wonyoung situation tbh. pls hear me out first before you form any opinions. also just know i have absolutely no hate towards wony. i feel like wonyoungs fans are also responsible just as much as her haters are. when wonyoung is called out on something she does wrong or something that others don’t agree with (ex:when she and another member were lip singing while sitting down), her fans are quick to call jealously. Or when others express concern about her weight, Her stan’s are quick to say “she looks fine,ur just jealous”. So it’s just stuff such as that. However, i do agree with you. success does breed haters.she’s a talented and pretty girl. and sometimes people are jealous of that.

I think it’s a fact that the same people used the Lyp sync controversy to have an actual reason to hate on her. I believe Stans say they are jealous because the hate started WAY before, back when there was no actual reason to hate on her, so naturally, you’d think they are either jealous or just immature. It’s the fault of the antis for hating her for literally breathing. It’s the fault of the stan’s for not admitting that something isn’t right here. It’s produce 48’s fault for rigging the votes and not protecting 13 year old wonyoung (not saying that this is wonys fault at all). It’s the fault of the companies she’s been in for not protecting her and putting the favoritism and pressure on her. (again, this is not wonyoungs fault at all because ik this is out of her control.) And lastly,it’s starships fault for not protecting her health mentally,physically and emotionally.

The only reason I got into Kpop in the first place is bc I randomly saw a clip of her in 'Very, Very, Very" and I thought "Who is this girl with the stage presence?" and thus got into P48 and IZ*ONE. As someone who studied theater and all things media in college, I WAS DRAWN. I will always be your supporter, Wonyoung!

But even looking into the comment sections here, I'm starting to get fed up seeing haters same hate comments over and over again. It's so tiring, idk how dives do it 🥲. Before the comments say “oh but she doesn’t bow to her seniors😡” she actually does as 15° bows are seen as polite in Korea. “Oh but she didn’t bow to Beomgyu!😡” safety over politeness. She gave an initial bow to her seniors and any fellow 4th gen groups (so I have no clue why Beomgyu decided to do that) then walked down the stairs. It isn’t safe to bow while walking downstairs

The fact that they have been hating on her since when she was a literal minor terrifies me. Entertainment industry is really a scary place.

As a 2nd gen kpopper who dont know any of these 4th gen idols. This reminded me of Yoona from SNSD but whats happening to Wonyoung is so much worse. I think Yoona's situation is tamer since she's shown how much close she is with her band members and they dont take her popularity as a threat unlike Hyuna, Suzy etc. back in their prime. So I wanna know is Wonyoung close to her bandmates or there is tension between them.

I was a WIZ*ONE though I only stayed loyal to my bias so I didn't pay much attention to other members... but in my vague memory about Wonyoung, she's nothing but a nice and sweet little girl who is well beloved by all her unnies and fans. She was quirky, playful and adorable and never really did anything bad. She never shows bad attitude towards her unnies. Seeing the amount of hate she gets these days breaks my heart. I just wish people can be nice to each other more or just stay silent if they have nothing good to say about other people.

Yess i truely miss her iconic izone maknae days. Tbh she seems more happy back then. Im sure its because of her getting exposed to the public and getting attention at the age of 13 and thats why companies need to stop debuting young idols because it can harm their physical mental health. I hope this kind of support will spread more and more for Wonyoung. The issue contacts is so real. Over time I got this habit of rolling my eyes to adjust them and I often don’t even realise it anymore. So whenever I notice that the contacts are uncomfortable I make sure the people around me know that if I randomly roll my eyes, it’s more likely that I just subconsciously did it because of my contacts and didn’t mean to disrespect them

At this point, I feel like starship is purposely doing these things because they just want people talking as they say any publicity is good publicity. So it looks like they’re just using wonyoung for their media play. Her outfits are not by her choice she doesn’t choose her outfits and the other members outfits however the bad attitude scandal is the one that’s kinda throwing me off because bowing back is really not a big deal, if it’s a korean tradition then why not just follow it? IVE's stylists definitely gave her the spotlight, that much is obvious- but I don't think it's fair to always blame stylists who are almost assuredly underpaid and overworked.

I first saw her on the survival show and I said....Shes hot. Ive liked her ever since. The industry always needs more hot chicks. Visuals make the kpop industry go. People should be praising her.

you're right...for the most kpop stans it's hard to accept that kpop its the most industrialized gender in music, evething its manufactured by rich men, the visual its the most important thing in kpop, even in twice, you have members with a very good vocals and dance but the most popular member its tzuyu, dont matter if your idol write 1 or 2 song, the base its bassicaly the same, people just need to accept it

She is much more respectful than disrespectful. You could nitpick few instences that could SEEM wrong from her side, decide that she is arrogant and disrespectful and hate her for it. In reality similar things happen to most idols and if you look for those things you could hate on all of them for that thing. Personally i payed attention to bowing and not bowing of idols on last few award shows and i saw many of them having moments like that. Not to mention that Wonyoung is senior to 4th gen idols since she debuted in 2018. Changing a group or going solo doesn't make someone a rookie.

I don't hate the girl at all, most of the things she gets hate for is dumb, but as a casual kpop listener, I don't like how fans and stans are quick to say "she's obviously such a nice girl she'd never be rude". Why not be neutral and stay on topic with what she's being criticized for rather than extend it to your assumption of her as a person? At the end of the day, kpop idols are playing likeable characters. You DO NOT KNOW THESE PEOPLE. Wonyoung may be nice, she may actually be a bitch, WE DONT KNOW. The haters not knowing her personally are obviously an issue which is already widely spoken about, I was just speaking on the less addressed issue on the opposite side.

If you don’t believe that the hate Wonyoung gets is not pushed by somebody behind the scenes you are delusional, this industry is a game, just because Kakao was exposed don’t be fooled and think the rest are much different. From paid posts, suspicious accounts, all these articles, making it on the news, etc, this is more than a bunch of antis being mad. Wonyoung and IVE don’t deserve this, but I am glad to see the redemption arc starting to happen. What these haters fail to see is that all the girls they end up hating for no real reason end up becoming more loved and protected by people. It’s happened to all of them, and Wonyoung will be no exception because she is TRULY a beautiful person not just on the outside, but on inside too, and that matters.

i won't lie, i have cried for wonyoung, especially during the not bowing to txt incident. those people watched the edited video and decided to judge her, when i tried to say the full thing but i just got shut. it was so frustrating and now i can't even imagine what wonyoung is going through

I’ve never watched any Ive content other than the music videos and that’s why I had the same opinion as everyone painted of wonyoung due to all the other vids (I NEVER made a hate comment even though I didn’t exactly liked her cause it effects idol badly) but recently I’m trying to watch all the perspectives rather than just what’s presented to me and thus I do feel bad for how I pictured her till now.

I hate how people always only see the negative side, yes wonyoung gets a huge amount of hate but she is also one of the most successful and popular idol right now, so why always introducing her as the most hated idol ? And why not as the most famous and successful 4th gen idol and as the It girl of an entire generation ?

we dont know what shes like we cant say anything theres always a camera personality and an off camera one we cant say anything, other idols can for example; straykids banchan was talking about how (some) rookie idols are very disrespectful not bowing at all, she very well could bow to her seniors and not but many times she has not done so even if they have done full 90 degree bends for her, once again i wasnt there i dont know just what i have seen online, others have also pointed out how much shes changed since changing groups; voice, body, personality, serious weight loss too an unhealthy point
