@@littleredfoxx the dad cat has midget legs, bred for looks not naturally so my guess the mother being normal legged the genes probably just didn't compute. I think dad cats they call them midget cats or something like that

I love how just after giving birth she starts to just walk away - then looks behind her to notice the kitten. i just imagine her saying “Holy crap I was pregnant all this time?”

Life just dropped a whole bunch of pink sausage out along with the cat, so beauty was definitely not the first thing on my mind

They only act that way and give birth in an open area if they are stressed and running. An outdoor cat might just abandon kittens to survive. I’m guessing the camera was a bit much and too much human interference.

@@brenon1441 queens lick the placenta to stimulate breathing and often eat the placenta, to have enough energy to go on. If you’ve ever seen a litter born at a vet and one kitten or more are in respiratory distress, the vet techs and vet will rub them quite vigorously, considering their size and age, to stimulate breathing. Same with puppies.

I have lost cats too. But there’s a sweet boy or girl or bonded pair just waiting for YOU to give them a home & the love you need. Go to your shelter or rescue organization or Craigslist and find new babies. Our beloved sweet black cat Betty Boop died after 16 years. She was one of the gentlest cats ever. We found black cats Cleo & Caesar 4 years ago. They were being abused by kids and dogs. We took them in & they hid under the bed for 8 months. But now they beg forbtreats and Ceasar cries for his cat Mom if she leaves the bedroom as does Cleo & they 💕 love my girlfriend very much. I have 3 cats born on the grounds of my building, Fluffy the tuxedo male & Fuzzy the tuxedo & Little Girl the all black cat, the females. It took them a long time to trust me but now they follow me everywhere and vie for who gets to sleep next to me. Fuzzy is the tiny one who loves petting. Little Girl loves cuddling with me on the bed & Fluffy will sleep on my chest. They were born on Halloween & will be 22 this year. My girlfriend & I had our first date on Halloween 46 years ago. We love ❤️ Halloween. I also feed 6 cats every day & have for over 10 years. All love me & I won’t let them starve.

Cats only do that when they are trying to get away from something. I am guessing there was too much human interference and the queen was trying to find a new, private place to birth her kitten. ( Also, one kitten? What cats have a litter of one?….shady)

@@___LC___ it is possible for a cat to give birth to only one kitten. Another possible reason is that one or more kittens were also fertilized, but did not develop properly. If a fetus does not develop within a certain amount of time, the mother cat will absorb them into their body. -

However, it is like someone who happens to have a KZread channel coincidentally getting pregnant naturally…and having quadruplets. I do think this breed has a small litter on average, like Manx who have litters of 1-3, so it may just be a coincidence that it was a litter of one.

I have never seen a mom with one kitten before! It's such a different and more nurturing dynamic! Usually mom is caring for three or four kittens. Thus, she can't be this attentive to each one. But with just one, mom is wrapping her paws around baby and snuggliny and cuddling baby! It's amazing!

That baby has four different parents looking out for it. So much love. Hopefully they will keep the kitten. Having kittens that are bonded as mom and kitten is always a special bond to witness. Usually you don’t get to see that, because we separate them.

We managed to befriend a pregnant wild cat and she eventually had her babies right on our little swing chair on our deck. We brought her and her babies into our garage and helped her take care of them and she even trusted us to hold them. I adopted one of the kittens and my sister and a friend took the others. What I never imagined is that mom would want to come live with us as well. She showed up back at our house crying like crazy and hasn’t left since and is the sweetest most snuggable little lady ever. We got her and her son fixed of course. It’s just incredible cause she was wild the first couple of years of her life and once ran if we even thought of approaching her. Little blessings sent by God

Thanks for helping them seriously, that's cool. But dividing the cat pups between you, as in a raffle, that is not. Taking them away from their mother on the first years is the problem, whether she was a savage or not. That is one of the causes for anxiety in them, it's not sentimentality, it's elementary principles linked to their instincts. To say the cat was "chance to abandoning" her kittens is still a choice based on assumptions, without understanding the context, its particularity and their survival and adaptation instincts.

Mimi's such a beautiful and loving momma. Her little baby is so sweet to!

When a cat decides to give birth, no matter where it is she’s gonna be the one that decides. I had a friend who asked me to watch over her pregnant cat as I had experience with birthing kittens and the cat in question really liked me. So come the day I hear a meowlling outside my bedroom doorway (we kept the bedroom door closed at night because the cats liked greeting us in the morning lol) and I sat up in bed as my girlfriend got up and opened the door… and in ran the cat mom who jumped onto the bed and then leapt into my lap (which was amazing considering she was in labour at the time) and gave birth right there and then. Six bundles of joy and she wouldn’t let me move until she had given birth to all of them. I think it was because the mom was holding off giving birth until I was there…. My girlfriend thought it was hilarious. So giving birth on a white blanket or carpet… quite normal as a cat will birth wherever it is they feel safe.

That's sweet. Way nicer than my story. My brother once had to tell his teacher that he had done his homework, but couldn't bring it in, because our cat gave birth on it. His teacher said 'I'll believe it, when I see it.' I'm sure she regretted those words, when he fished it out of the trash, and handed it in the next day.

My cat nearly gave birth on my chest in my bed xD But as soon as I moved she jumped up and went towards the kitten-box in my dresser and I wasnt allowed to leave either. I had to sleep on the floor straight up to her box. Very uncomfortable but the things we do for our furbabys ^^

We took in a stray a couple months ago and 3 days ago she gave birth! We couldn't find the babies but we heard some noises. I climb up over 30ft in a tree and find 6 kittens that were born in a birds nest. I saved them and my mom has set up a house on our patio for them and the mother has been taking care of them since. I thinks it's a pretty cool story to tell that I rescued 6 newly born kittens from a birds nest.

I am re-watching this video today on March 3, 024 with amazement - how happy Mimi is to have a precious baby to love. Look how wonderful they are together. And at 4:54 Coco is loving his baby too. I had forgotten how adorable Kiki was as a tiny baby. It is 2024 and I love this video! Kiki is a tiny miracle and then she produces 2 beautiful golden boy kittens!
