I am a Ugandan too, Nairobi is some 20-30 years ahead of Kampala. Kampala is blessed with hills so when developed it will be more beautiful than Nairobi.

Kampala still needs to catch up with better planning. Many building escape the KCCA norms of construction. In future if we want expansion of the roads for example in Kameokya, Like Kira Road Region it's going to be a problem. But I love my City. I used to live in Kiseka and now near acacia Avenue. Gets beautiful by the day. Ugandan sunsets never fail to make your day.

Kampala looks great so clean, shows people have some pride in their city...more than many western cities. The investment -new buildings- can only be good. It's encouraging to see the street lights running on solar power. I agree with you the electricity wires should be put underground but that is a huge expense and the money could be spent on more important things.
