I just gotta say for anyone looking for help in Ochem this man right here is amazing!!! I used his videos cause my classes went online due to COVID and was having such a hard time trying to find videos on explaining the concepts in a simple manner and I finally stumbled upon Joe! I used him whenever after lecture I did not understand and needed further resources and got a A+ so I just want to give a personal Thank you Joe for helping me in my Junior year of college!

Whoops, it indeed was (a weird issue with Amazon Web Servers where I had to turn my servers off and back on again). It's back up, and I'm keeping an eye on things!

help….he doesn’t answer the question. what happened in the first reaction? i thought it would just form a tertiary carbocation and then do elimination. why did a methyl shift?

it formed a tertiary carbocation, then ring expansion happened ( see a video on ring expansion if you dont know what that is )
