    Yeah, I remember first hearing of them in 2001 through Kerrang magazine and then got to see them a year later when I was 18 when Ozzfest happened at Donington (it was either catch Otep on te second stage or stick around the main stage for Lostprophets and Millencolin). Their set blew me away, walked out of that building an instant fan.

  • @junkyardwillie8320

    @junkyardwillie8320

    3 жыл бұрын

    I don’t know, I actually kind of like the high overtones and higher pitch. Are used to dislike the sound of female screaming vocals, which I used to get a lot of crap for. You can’t deny biology, and the female voice is just different than a male’s, and the screams are usually different because of it. Lately however, it’s really been growing on me. The vocalist for this band, Courtney from Spirit box, there’s another woman who puts up covers on KZread and I think has her own band but now I’m not remembering her name... I also love higher pitch screams in general, and many women can pull them off very well. I’m a guy with a lower voice, so higher screams for me are a bit difficult and I’m not a fan of the way mine sound. But your voice is unique to you, and that’s what’s special about it. I’m still getting comfortable with mine, but if you don’t have the sound you want it’s not the end of the world. It’s important not to try to force the sound that you simply cannot make, while also important to maybe try practicing the implementation of SAFE techniques that help you to sound the way you want. Other people usually end up liking your voice more than you do. You just have to get comfortable with it

  • @junkyardwillie8320

    @junkyardwillie8320

    It’s also important to learn to work with what you have. If you can’t achieve the exact sound you’re looking for, I bet you could still make something that sounds great with your own unique style and voice

    She's so relatable and down to earth even though she's insane with a microphone! As someone who sings and screams at home alone she gives me hope. Love her and can't wait to hopefully see her live someday after this pandemic.

    Excellent interview!!!! She's amazing!!!! It's such a great sigh of relief to hear someone as talented as her, as well a other musicians, artists etc has gone through and experienced a huge part of what I went through and experienced while learning and perfecting our craft both as a musician and vocalist. Very very cool! 🤘🏻🤘🏻

    Tatiana, I love your authenticity! You seem like a real person, rather than most celebrities who feel they have to maintain some image, you are just you doing what you like to do, it's so refreshing! What you said about the right amount of practice, it's true of anything, even exercise, there is a benefit to long practice sessions over shorter sessions that add up to more time, but short practices are necessary sometimes to stay in touch with your form without needing to push all the time, and either way you need down time to rest. You can practice too much, and you can rest too much. Finding that balanced zone is the key to mastering anything, whether you are learning fundamentals or exploring new techniques. Thank you so much for sharing with us.

    If she's having issues struggling keeping up vocally,i really think she should take to a vocal trainer specifically for her type of vocals. Or two separate vocal coaches, one for cleans, one for extreme. She would benefit a lot from warmups and a better understanding of her own ability and technique. Her tones are fantastic, imagine 6 months with a vocal coach would make her way more potent and comfortable.
