Jimmy Johnson is the genius behind the Cowboys Dynasty not aJerry Jones. He was way ahead of the rest of the league. Charles Haley came back to haunt the 49ers.

He was so right about Haley. He improved the pass rush so much plus he helped guys like Tolbert and Lett develop into solid defenders. Russel Maryland was ~ok~ but not the value of a true number 1 overall pick… if the cowboys could have hit on that pick too it woulda made a juggernaut. That draft wasn’t exactly stacked but imagine if they picked someone like Aeneas Williams or maybe even Herman Moore to pair with Irvin. Aeneas and Deion together? Yes please. Anyway back to Haley, he was so huge for the Cowboys, if he wasn’t banged up in that 94 NFCCG who knows what happens. Obviously their were a lot of banged up people in that game, Emmitt was hurting, Erik Williams obviously was absent and never really the same. But Haley definitely changed that defense

Jimmy the legend. A little modest and always takes the high road.

Listening to this reminded me off that movie with Kevin Costner, Draft Day. I could see how what Jimmie Johnson did back then would inspire the method for that film.

I just want to thank the Minnesota Vikings (heavy duty sarcasm) for almost single-handedly creating the Dallas Cowboys Super Bowl dynasty of the 1990's. They gave them almost a dozen star players in exchange for their running back. Meanwhile, my beloved Philadelphia Eagles had been poised to win their first Lombardi Trophy ever, with the likes of Reggie White, Jerome Brown, and Randall Cunningham. The Vikings should be credited with an assist for each of those Cowboy's championships.

The Eagles were really loaded there for a few years. But the Vikings certainly helped the Cowboys keep their brief window of opportunity shut.

As great as Reggie was, Philly loosing Jerome Brown to a car crash hurt you real bad. You can’t double block 2 defensive linemen!

If the Vikings draft Marcus Allen instead of Darrin Nelson then there is no Herschel trade...It all comes down to that pick or non pick in that draft.

When jimmy ran the show, great football decisions were made. He understood what was needed and not needed. He made the cowboys great with his personnel. With Jerry running the show, he has not been able to duplicate it. He deserves to be in the ring of honor.

Right. But that was always Jerry's plan to win super bowls with an expert football coach then try to win it his way with puppets n truthfully, money will always be more important than superbowls to Jerry now n today shows that but he'll continue to try to sell the public on he's doing everything in his power to win another superbowl which we all see that's not the case

Jimmys trade? If it wasn't for Jerry that trade would of never happened. He had to pay hershal a million dollars in 1989 just to accept the trade.
