Fascinating story and well done! It’s always good to see celebrities stick it out and make their marriage work, which is so very rare.

Jamie Lee Curtis is one of my favorite people… and Christopher Guest is an awesome actor/writer

I am rooting for her to win the Oscar and have followed her interviews this award season. One thing that I am not sure I believe is that during her addiction years "nobody knew". 5 vicodin and a glass of wine will most surely change your behavior to a noticeable degree. Her husband is no dummy.

Curtis was a scene stealer in True Lies and Freaky Friday. I already have the other movie, The Fog. I first saw her in Halloween. I HAD to know if she played guitar in real life. She learned guitar for the Freaky Friday scene. That really was her playing backstage.

They have a son. Their son has a mental illness. I feel deeply sorry for them all. It must be hard to have a child with mental illness. But you don't enable the mental illness. You try and work through it and hope your child becomes healed. Nothing good comes from coddling gender dysphoria. Just look at the rate of attempted suicide among children who are gender confused. Studies show that "transitioning" (which can never truly happen - you can't change a y chromosome to an X chromosome or vice-versa) does NOT reduce that attempted suicide rate. And getting there means probably becoming sterile and disfiguring your body.

Five Vicodin? I don’t get a choice. I have inoperable degenerative disc disease and every pill I take is scrutinized! By the way I take oxycodone but I’ve been on hydracodone early on and never more than four a day! I’m gonna bet you didn’t have chronic pain and then I’m gonna bet you don’t think I should take what I do but just suffer instead!
