How iteachvader Makes a YTPMV (PART 1)
Ойын-сауық
In this video, you'll learn the rundown of how I make a KZread Poop music video. This explanation is really composing the music portion of a YTPMV. I'll answer as many questions as I can in the comments section as well if you have any lingering thoughts after the video.

I have to agree, I feel so dumb for wasting my time at school, or at least I would feel dumb if watching this vid didn't give me the knowledge of a genius.

Wait, _all_ of the instruments and beats used in the songs are just excerpts from the show itself!? You are a mad genius my dude, a mad genius. Can't imagine the effort that goes into these. Keep being rad.

I've only made two original YTPMVs that DO use externally-sourced instruments, being the unfinished one where Grounder says "Come to Daddy" and my super-old one You Brought Me a Rock.

With 100+ episodes, AOSTH provides plenty of material.
There's a very thin line between "YTPMV maker" and "music composer". Seriously this is some high-quality stuff. Excellent work!

You're too good for this world. Really though, thanks for doing this. Just goes to show even the most subtle sounds can be put to good use.
After all this time, watching the original, and hearing it here, I still get confused every time I hear “S.S.S.S.S. SQUAD!” not immediately followed up with “ARRES-ESS-ESS-ESS-ESST HIM!”

FR I watched the actual show and when I got to that scene and heard "Arrest him" instead of "Arres-ess-ess-ess-esst him" it felt like someone took my left kidney and I didn't feel the pain but I felt more empty
I love that you can hear the origins of _Win the Race_ and _Hedgehog Stew_ in here.

I was actually thinking it sounded like something from Jazz Jackrabbit 1. Something about the lead synth sample.
Even as someone who regularly writes music, I'm mind blown. It's insane how resourceful you are. I appreciate your ytpmvs even more than before.
The effort that goes into your YTPMV's are incredible. It's cool to see the whole process of how you do it.
I'm looking forward to the upcoming S. S. S. S. S. Squad ytpmv

this is a really solid tutorial for this kind of oldschool ytpmv

I agree with Geoff. You are completely different to other people who make YTPMVs. You put in a lot of effort.
Not even joking, my art teachers used to tell me about finding creative inspiration everywhere, and you're doing it.

The name makes it all the even better, like you get something bizarre and twist it into something completely different, know what i'm saying
This video contains the earliest version of Hedgehog Stew.
i had no idea that the instruments came from the show itself; putting in that extra effort for a detail barely anyone will notice is what makes you one of the best
you make real good music with these sounds to the point you are making new synth instruments.
God I love KZread poop. Just not crazy about the ones where the volume plows out your eardrums unexpectedly

Those are my favorites, unless they overdo it with the ear rape.
Idea for a joke (from Robotnik's retirement) Robotnik: "Tea? (son)" Tails: "Sure" Robotnik: "Teeeea?" Sonic: "I don't think so" Robotnik: "Dohooho it's not PISS you know, the oooold Robotnik probably would have PISS-ed in it!"
This is actually a great guide to breakbeat/big beat music in general, this might have been great when I was starting out
Quite a musical ear to pull those out. Thanks for the informative video, learning _how_ to do this is quite interesting.
You got very creative with the percussion bits in particular. Thanks for all the time and effort you put into making these!

I still cannot get over that avatar. I know Maya is a nut, but DAYUM.
Pretty neat that you could clip stuff from various sources and make a song out of it. Kinda reminds me of big beat Mario, which is a pretty good text book example of a ytpmv.
For any of you wondering, the example that he's using is a piece he actually made called "Hedgehog Stew".
Your ytpmvs are great, and this video is an extraordinary breakdown of your process. I love it!
Not quite a video I was expecting from a YTP maker, shows how much effort and thought you do put into your videos. Very nice.

I'm not quite the average KZread Pooper.
I love it! Absolutely arreSSSSSting. Just goes to show how much work goes into these, so often unnoticed. If that melody I’m hearing at the end is a harbinger of things to come... well, no need to get ahead of ourselves, but you won’t hear me complain!
i love how the video looks like it was made in the late 2000s.
So basically, be creative and have a fantastic ear for what makes a good music video. You’re fucking good, man.
I love how seriously you take your craft, it really shows in all your work. I've been around since the walrusguy days of YTP, and thought it was pretty much dead- and then here you are innovating. Cheers!
Dude! Dr. Robotnik has been announced to be in Silvagunner's King For An Another Day Tournament! Will you be submitting some of your YTPMV's there?
Dude I somehow missed this when I played through your channel. This is an amazing tutorial! I did _not_ realize ALL of the song elements were pieces taken from the show itself though. I legit thought you just recorded most of it on a MIDI and then put the words together over the top. That’s some serious next-level right there.
This is some high quality stuff! Also, thanks for making a video showing how you do your thing!
Very nice to get some insight into how these come together. I notice a lot of the elements mentioned in this video in the other videos, but it isn't until it's pointed out that one really notices it. Well done!
i really love how you sample stuff from the show, it just really makes everything sound authentic
Why the hell do you only have 16 thousand subs? What you're presenting to us is bloody great. "Old-school but still cool", right? This is the perfect sentence to describe your channel and content. Godspeed.
All I can say is that you are amazing, truly incredible how you make the musical numbers in your videos.
This is an excellent overview of the process. Love your videos!
This was really informative and fun to watch! Nice job!
very interesting to get to see how you make YTPMV and definetly made me appreciate them more
This was so insightful. I'll use this knowledge in my own YTPs!
All of your content is so damn good, with so much effort put into it! Also, it should be said, that although I've heard there was a lot of trouble with Win the Race, with people pushing you really hard to do it, that was the video that appeared in my recommended, which lead me to subscribe to your channel, and to check out the rest of your stuff. So thanks for pulling through, because I wouldn't have found your channel otherwise.
I loved the beat at the beginning with the alarm. Some sounds like that being made into music is really satisfying
What program(s) do you use in making these?
It's actually kinda funny because music composers and foley artists do this kind of thing when they make sounds or music. So I'd say this isn't unusual in the slightest!
Nice lesson on the making of a YTPMV. And excellent lesson on editing and music.
You truly are one of the YTP masters of our age

Amazing work as always; I had no idea those samples were from the show itself.
Dude i don't know how you do this it's amazing!
That explains why there's so much retro-styled synth in your YTPMVs.
BRRRRILLIANT! But seriously. You are a gift to KZread.
Truly you are a genius at this!! :D
This is way more advanced than learning how to ytpmv cover songs. This is a really spread out tutorial that teaches a lot, but I'm not very good at original compositions.
This honestly makes you look way more clever then your content would otherwise suggest.
This is actually very informative, thank you fine sir
This feels like a very well-explained tutorial with style, unlike the ones we have today.
2:06: Say, since the show re-uses scores often, I wonder if the BGM here is what was sampled for “Gettaway Submarine”.
