Renault trucks are one of the 7 big names in lorries on European roads. The other 6 are the two Swedish truck makers Scania and Volvo, the two German truck makers Mercedes Benz (part of the Daimler Group) and MAN (part of the Volkswagen group), Italian truck manufacturer IVECO and Dutch/UK truck maker DAF. 1) Scania 2) Volvo 3) Mercedes Benz 4) MAN 5) Renault 6) IVECO 7) DAF

Watching this video, one of the things that really surprised me was the female members of staff are allowed to wear their hair down. For me, this would constitute a major health and safety issue. What if they got a strand of their hair caught in a piece of machinery? Imagine the harm that could be done to them, the damage to the machinery and the costs for any medical treatment on top of what it may cost to repair the machine and then you have the revenue lost while you wait for the repairs. Then you have to hire someone else to do the job while the other person recovers.
Nearly all vehicle manufacturers these days use the robots to paint, this is a health and safety issue because of the harmful fumes and long-lasting detrimental effects the paint can have on a human's health.
