hi, as fellow wow player i trully recommend picking it up - free version trial is currently with stormblood, so you get huge chunk of story, dont be scared when you log in though - you only need to do main quests, class quests and sometimes blue quests (blue open dungeons, new stuff) - and this will hold you until max lvl - especially story, story is a slow start, because it is laying ground and explaining stuff, and it picks up heavily at end of ARR and heavensword, i really like that you can swap classes whenever you want, so no alts needed - i started playing it during patch lulls of wow, and stopped playing when wow picked up again - just now i ended with last expansion and doing post patch stuff - i really like the system, there was few different thing to learn - like how they armory works like (essentialy special backpack just for your equip), how transmogs works and stuff like that.. if anything sold the game for me.. it was story and music - i love nice story telling, and especially this game felt like it is me - i am main character, your character shows up doing stuff and feels like it is you, second thing is music - what sold the game for me was when i met one character in boss fight and their music just.. it felt great

@poro9084 what a great explanation! The pacing at the start does seem a little slow I'm personally looking forward go getting into the expacs.

One of the first things I did when having my first big adventure with my main (going to the other city states), I went and made alt characters for all the other cities :D Just for the story, and I'm glad I did. I agree, the story pulls you in quickly, if you let it. Personally, I didnt really mind its dated at early game since I'm an avid Guild Wars lover (NOT GW2, mind you :D ) and there're a lot of familiar elements from that older game. It felt like home from day one and I didnt bother waiting out the Free Trial (which was limited to lvl35 anyway, so I didnt lose anything...).

I'll have to get around to doing that to piece together all the story from the different starting points. Its interesting being a returning player or old MMORPG fan I try to think how a brand new comer would feel to challenge my nostalgia at times.

I came, I saw, I watched the whole video. I liked I subbed, I enjoyed my stay

I haven't seen anyone mention it yet, but when you can (around MSQ level 15 or so?) you should try out the Hall of the Novice. I think it'll give you more of what you were looking for in the group combat explainers. :)

I haven’t played since about 2 months into Endwalker and I’ve forgotten so much 😩 I just started new account on a different PSN so I can relearn everything all over. All melee jobs are 90 on my main account and magics are almost there but I think I should just focus on 1 job this time and really be the best I can with that.
