Pre 1967 Palesrinians more than a "second class citizen" for some kibbutzniks. Have to say far from typical but nonetheless there 'on site and in sight' - generally disliked and resented by many of the 'old school' so to speak - was a man, a more recent arrival, responsible (at least when I was there) for allocating tasks to student volun- teers. I could hardly believe my ears, and certainly didn't want to, when he would describe local villagers with whom we would be working in the outlying fields as "Untermenschen"! A single anecdote, I know, but the overall atmosphere suggested something very amiss was being imposed on the majority of fellow kibbutzniks there.

The ICJ case by South Africa is fascinating. As a Brit I feel that there has been no truth and reconciliation that includes our Country and others. We need international criminal law to be implemented for all countries to stop these abuses.

FFS, it was the Brits who started the whole fucking ruckus with their Sykes-Picot here and their Balfour Agreement there and selling out both sides at the same time. So can't you just leave things alone for once and let them sort things out for themselves out?!

@@bryanjackson8917 i was trying to say that our historical wrongs should be owned up to and explored. So that justice can be done for our past misdeeds that you point out. I am not denying self determination for anyone. Just saying that we the British need to make recompense for our role in the harm.

@@bryanjackson8917 the ICJ covers countries, and I wholly support international law being applied to all countries. We were recently ruled against with the Chagos islands and need to act on that ruling.
