I feel sorry for the slower cars. It must be hard having to drive in your mirrors that much. The closing speed means you literally can’t see anyone until he’s already there.

You always drive in your mirrors in multiclass. Also, slower class should just keep their line and drive their own race instead of getting out of everyone's way.

@@atp1992 BOLLOCKS. I'm going to defy this myth because I've never heard anyone standing against it before. Every case is unique and the decision is made in split-second. An unwritten agreement is made between you and the driver in front/ behind and I think what decides it is the closing speed, the shape of the corner, your imagination of his-and your fastest possible lines while overtaking/ being overtaken, and finally the body language (the cars body language), which by the way isn't shown early and clearly due to considerations like slip-stream and others..

I love the NLS & N24, the mix of fast and slow cars, factory cars and home build cars, on the worlds best track makes it one of a kind! I will see you out on track soon Jimmy! Great to see you out there 👊🏼 and remember… STAY ON YOUR LINE 😂 Ps thanks for all the flattering images… 😂

Fun fact: The first two porsche's he passes towards the end of the GP and the start of the Nordschlife are actually not cup cars, but GT3 cars which goes to show just how much David is sending it. 5:32 is a cup car. 5:09 is a GT3

Seems like those multiclass warning systems (the video/radar setups that warn of faster cars coming up) should be standardized and made much less expensive to prevent many of these close calls.
That was spectacular OMG, what a lap! Also a good lesson maybe for some iRacers and others, in other sims with multi-class racing. Most people are not getting out of the way because they are pricks, but because a.) they didn't see you (especially on 1 monitor, no VR, as seen here, can even happen IRL where you can see your surroundings better than on a single screen or even triple-screen setup) or b.) they are inexperienced and need to learn how to do it the right way.
2:46 he's going so quickly his dot has left the map 😂😂
The closing rate is so ridiculous that he sneaks up on people and they panic. What a pleasure to see a world class pro send it on this circuit in multiclass. Brb, going to subscribe to David.

What blows my mind seeing this and having watched the N24 live, is how fast these GT3 cars are closing in and diving into gaps on this very very narrow track. And to think that these guys do this in 1,5 or 2 hour stints. That's just crazy with this amount of traffic

I am enjoying these type of videos and I think they're a great addition to your usual content.
I have to imagine the hardest role in a multi class race like this would be something of middling speed, like a Gt4, having to clear some traffic while also looking out for any absolute rocket ships coming through behind you!
God damn now i need a jimmy broadbent race analysis channel 😂😂😂 rewatching significant races in history with commentary would be awesome 😂😂
the recent content has been really good! keep it up!!!
David has always been rapid and it's great to see him succeeding out at the ring. My dad used to race against him in the Ginetta Supercup (am vs pro) and he always put on a masterclass. One of the friendliest drivers you could hope to meet as well, always had time for a chat.
Keep the reaction videos up, fun to watch.

He made a similar video approximately 2 months ago about Kevin Estre in a 911 GT3R. I think it was posted at the tail end of May.
My most remembered lap ever, when I raced 600 Superbike motorcycles, was at Daytona. I was gridded 75th out of 80 racers, In the second wave of a 2 wave start. They waited until the first 40, in the first wave, cleared the first turn, then we got the green flag. Out braking, out cornering, and out motoring as many as possible, I was 14th place after 1 lap of a 7 lap race on the 2.5 mile road course. I went by 2nd and third just past the finish. Like it happened yesterday...dam those were the days!
10/10 to the editor, the little sound effects are *chefs kiss*
I remember you teaming up with David for an iRacing VLN race in the old BMW Z4 GT3 car - he was a fantastic teammate, not surprised to see him still smashing it in tin top racing.
A watch-along yay! I was there when your channel got copyright struck doing it in a stream. It was mucho lol.
Pittard is an absolute legend, insanely quick and efficient at driving, but more than that, he's a genuinely nice bloke. Chatted to him at Le Mans and he was nothing but a gent.
Here super early Jimmer, just wanted to say you've been slaying everything you're doing mate and I couldn't be prouder. You're living my 18yo dream, brother❤❤
Honestly the Megan is driving his own race, he was on his line and during the cutback noticed the sp9 and got of the way without compromising his own line. Thats NBR for you.

That TEKKEN 3 soundtrack that plays at 0:50 along the 330i fitted so well ! Trivia: The soundtrack plays at a stage character named after KING, and both the car livery and the character shares the same color scheme. Nostalgic.

So... my take on the TLDR for slower cars is: Keep your line, don't worry about faster cars, they just gonna overtake you really fast, is a lot easier for them if you keep the predicted racing line.
There is a eurobeat remix of Freebird around, the solo section almost completely fits the original onboard if you stick it on 2x speed. Mr Pittard is a lovely bloke, and an absolute nutter.
the trust this man has in his gear heads that work on his car matches the size of his nads get sum!!!

The Astra can't check his mirrors all the time, he actually has to look forwards now and again, the closing speed was ridiculous. I don't think any blame there.

I can't throw shade at any of the slower cars, it's like having an ambulance come racing up behind you, except it doesn't have the alarm on, and it's an F-16.
I loved him as Spud Boy in Trainspotting.

David seems like an awesome dude. It's cool that he used to be a taxi driver for Apex.
The red dot on the map 😅
Man I gotta say as an amateurs the gt3 cars closing behind seems like the hardest part. Like an amateur doesn't have the brain speed to predict where he's gonna be when the gt3 car catches him, especially in a curvy part of the circuit. Crazy how fast they can appear in some parts of the circuit
