    You forgot to show the little “Use and Care Instructions” booklet that comes in the box with the case and the Cleaning Crystals. So, I’m confused because as far as cleaning the aligners, it tells me on there to use a small amount of toothpaste to clean it and I do that (daily) along with soaking it in the cleaning crystals every few days. I bought a denture brush to brush the aligners with as well. So is toothpaste harmful or not? 🤷🏻‍♀️

    It does come with cleaning crystals. However, in most cases patients aren't wearing retainers long enough to justify using them. We recommend using a antibacterial soap like Dawn for daily cleaning.

    Toothpaste is essentially a rubbing compound like you would use on a car. It will scratch up your retainer making it non translucent. We tell our patients to use Dawn Dish soap because it is non abrasive and disinfects. You can use the crystals but you will run out of supple quickly.

    Our standard protocol is to change them every week. If the teeth aren't moving then we extend that to two week intervals. Thanks for asking

    I'm on my 4th tray and still no slight change, everytime I switch trays in the hopes it'll feel extra tighter, it doesn't! so I'm starting to wonder If I should've gonne with braces 😔....has anyone experienced the same? Or do I have to be more patient...I feel like my aligners have not done so much for me in a month as I highly expected.

  • @pearcedentalgroup

    @pearcedentalgroup

    I don't believe it is. Invisalign is the original and leads in predictability. Which, results in faster treatment. Besides its just a smother process for patients. SureSmile may be cheaper but that is because the lower quality attachments(if any) and material. You also get a 3 year warranty vs 5 years with Invisalign. It often takes more aligners than expected to fully complete and refine an orthodontic case, and without unlimited aligners, your orthodontist may be forced to cut corners on completing your case.

  • @chaseseuffert3551

    @@pearcedentalgroup prime example that you aren’t very informed or know the product. Invisalign is the original but there are better products in the market. Lower quality attachments? Attachments are the bonding agents that your office would use…it would be the exact same as what you’d use for Invisalign. You get 3 years because a patient finished treatment faster due to the more efficient treatment plan and faster treatment. A patient shouldn’t need 5 years. SureSmile has unlimited aligners at a cheaper price and now includes the VPro…it’s really a no brained to move away from Invisalign. Also, SureSmile uses Essix plastic which is far superior and clearer than Invisalign’s plastic, it’s the industry standard and best plastic. Again, it’s really a no brainer 😃
