@@xmant8842that’s just a joke about how popular multiverse stories have been recently with the Spider-Verse movies, No Way Home and the teases in Spider-Man 2 PS5. If they had already made plans for Invincible to cross over with Beyond the Spider-Verse, they wouldn’t have had to make Agent Spider and Prof Ock in the first place and made it closer to the comic.

The funny thing, they do have the rights kinda of. Invincible is produce by Amazon studios. Amazon Studios announced they are working on two live action Spider-man shows. One about Spider-Nior and the other is about Silk

The crossover happend in the comics. That's what the entire agent spider scene was based off. But because they didn't get the rights to use spidey in the show they had to do it with agen spider.

Not everything needs to connect or have a crossover i can see the appeal and whatnot, but this would just be kinda weird and unwanted

As cool as it would be, if he appeared in spider verse, I don’t think he will. Being voiced by Josh Keaton doesn’t necessarily mean he is a version of Spider-Man. It’s more of a meta-reference to the character they wanted to use, and traveling Multiverse isn’t exactly an exclusive thing with superheroes. With all that being said, I would love it beyond the spider verse had one of the Spider-Man variance in the background, loosely, resemble agent spider. For legal reasons, they probably can’t use the exact design, but having a Spider-Man with a predominantly red, black, and yellow color, palette and red eyes would be close enough.

I mean before I understand that marvel wanted to be cautious about their ips but not anymore😂

Or...he just references how many multiverse stories Spider-Man is in general Also in the comic Invincible met the 616 Spider-Man and yeah he also has a bunch of multiverse adventures from time to time

I’m highly disagreed on this , it seems like they were animating that scene first or in the middle of trying to get Spider-Man’s license , but they couldn’t so they had to change it, the scene is longer than the original appeared from the main invincible story , but they kinda kept the other ones (like Batman’s) short

It's very clear that this is not Spiderman. They obviously couldn't get the legal clearance, otherwise they'd have put Spider-Man in there like he was in the comics. And we'd have Doc Ock not Prof. Josh Keaton being there is a fun homage, it is in no way confirmation that this is a variant. That's like saying Captain America is a Human Torch variant cause they're both Chris Evans. The multiverse stuff is a dig about the slew of multiversal Spider-man content.

The sad part is that it wouldnt make any sense for agent apider to be anything but an awesome cameo appearance, playing an important role would be so out of nowhere and make no sense story wise, and spider varients showing up again would also make no sense for invincible. We got what we got. Itd be bad writing if we got more, so let us be grateful.
