In India you literally have to pay more for a graphics than someone living in America would pay, and that too considering the high difference in Purchasing power parity it's absolutely ridiculous that you need over 60k+ for a graphics card which is about what 2 months of salary for someone who just got hired in India which should be around mid 40's. This is why mobile games such as pubg got mainstreamed in India because literally everyone can afford to buy a smartphone here, same goes for Valorant too, anyone can play it with a 1650 and low end Ryzen CPU.

but we have to rise above that now... there's Mister Swishy and Potato who play multiplayer games mainly GTA 5 online and have fun, itsaang also plays with them. Aang once started playing Alan Wake 2 which is Triple A game, it had awesome storyline and graphics but since the audience didn't respond due to this pubg gaming culture they want the fast action games and fast moving frames.. he had to stop streaming that and returned to GTA 5 online. Some prominent gaming KZreadrs and gaming audience both have ruined this Gaming culture in India.

atleast our Indian streamers and youtubers have gaming pc s right? Can't they introduce some variety, some change in Indian gaming. Like move from the standard competitive games to something new. Even in competitive, they play (and hence promote) the same old games. Like how many Indian streamers have you seen playing warzone, Apex legends or fortnite?. It's not even a single type of game they promote, they promote only a set 3 or 4 specific games

It's not like that. As someone who loves storyline games and multiplayer games, and also someone from a middle-class family, convincing your family to spend like 3000 rupees for a game is next to impossible task. Most of popular steam games are too expensive to buy for an average game lover. Then there's system requirement. In country like America, an individual can save up to 50-60 dollars to buy a game but in India, saving up to 3000 rupees just to buy one game is a lot! Even right now, I am in college and was thinking of finally playing Ghost of Tsushima on my laptop. But spending 4000 rupees is a lot, and I have to save for at least 6 months to get that game.

Finally a video where someone addressed the Real Problem behind it all. Thank you Brother for the efforts to confront the issue. It's really sad btt equally true that the Indian gaming community is just too naive to even realize what's the Real Essence of Gaming is. It's not abt constantly spaming the gunfire for some mere Dopamine release n Fake sense of gratification.

BBS is one of the only few true gamers in India and THE GOAT of the gaming community. Sadly, majority of his audience (the balaks) didn't support him because he used to play games like Elden Ring. I can proudly say that I was with him for years and always will be. He's a true gamer and he deserves more views and a loyal audience. Baaki ye Techno, Mortal, etc. ye sab ya to PGPs hain ya phir simulation games ko nichodte hain taaki 9 saal ke londe dekhte rhe. BBS made my childhood and I'll always support him. He's the GOAT of Indian gaming community and I don't think I'm being baised at all.

There are creators who still play different games and don't care about numbers, like everyone from s8ul didn't play pubg at all during the ban period and played multiple different games, their watching wouldn't have dropped so much if they would have played it.. but choose to make others aware of different games, lifestyle vlogs, challenges etc a lot of people don't gamers don't like them because they still managed to stay relevant even after the ban of their main game

I don't think you know what gaming is.. Most channels focus on a single game.. That's how gaming works.

Saw a lot of comments about PC/laptop affordability, the thing is people can get pretty decent set-up for 40k-60k and play in low or medium settings with ease. But still people don't consider it. Back in my school days we used to try and run the games on our system anyway possible just to play the games. But it's not the same anymore with new gen.

The main fact is peer pressure, cuz imagine all your friends play valorant and you get left out, you try to do it because you want friends, just to be cool you learn a little bad habits. This is a true experience by me, back in 2017 I didn't even know how to turn on wifi and connect to one, some friends of mine stopped playing cricket and football and started playing pubg. I think back then if I would have thought to not go ahead and try phones then I would have been so innocent that I would have hated games too.

Being a guy who has been watching non-indian gamers from childhood, I generally play games like Assassin's creed, Alan Wake, Control, Hitman, Dying light, Dishonered and many more like that. Most of the people I meet are people who have played either free fire, pubg or valorant ONLY. I never find anyone to have any kind of deep gaming discussions. India really needs to move from these games and explore more.

@@GoDnCRAFT Bro it's a question of technical knowledge. A true PC Gamer should know a thing like that. If you had said Facebook or chrome I would have understood as they have in-built games. WhatsApp is a simple encrypted peer to peer transfer app. If we are doing a dick measuring contest on who played the most games, well you aren't bad, not bad. But I have played Witcher 3, RDR1, GTA remastered collection, Skyrim, Assassin's creed 3, AC blag flag, Zelda BOTW, Monster Hunter Rise, Borderlands 3 etc etc on my freaking Android phone (locally not through cloud gaming). You need to know I am too far gone. Lol. Btw that's a decent rig you got there.

I think PUBG brought RURAL on the same page with URBAN gaming culture. I still miss the golden era of GTA, NFS and EA GAMES. Also mobile gaming boomed when TEMPLE RUN, RESPAWNABLES, CoC, CLASH ROYALE and BAD PIGGIES came up. I feel that was a era of niche but cultured gaming community among friends in schools, cousins and local areas.

I loved the fact that you highlighted brad and luke in this video. Their content on gaming especially Brad's walkthroughs from 2012 to 2019 really put India's creators to shame. And luke's breakdown videos on games, his reviews and video essays etc. Are really good as well(not as good as the act man tho). i was in the same condition what you talked about until 2021 starting but in 2021 my father gave me a budget of 60k for laptop but i builted a pc with about a budget of 45k and got a decent setup to play games lagless on a medium level (i bought a old graphic card of my friend who is rich nvidia 1650 for cheap when i changed my gcard) my gaming experiencews and views changes totally

Thanks Vedant for making this video. It was easy to understand, i guess the audience will understand about gaming better by this video. Btw i m actually a game developer, and the situation of Indian gaming industry really makes me worry about its future. I know everything was just a bit too rapid also due to Indian mindset this has happened, but this can be fixed if gamers don't fight about which game is best and try games from genre also gov is working on it. It will just take time to make a real Indian gaming community.

Anime ka different hai since ye TV pe bohot pehle aata tha and you can watch them anytime on your mobile unlike the big games that you need a PC/Console to play. Yes, you can watch a full playthrough of a game on YT too but kon itne time kharach karega when they can just play their favourite battle royale game for the 1000th time?

What I'm starting to appreciate recently is that a lot of youtubers are raising their tones about the problem with the so called Indian gaming community, which shouldn't even be called a community. Indian gamers are finally trying out new games, showing support to KZreadrs that make videos on them, etc etc. and to those who say, the community doesn't show support to different games, take a look at the views and statistics of this video. We may be witnessing a positive change. KEEP IT UP!!

What u are saying is true.i am 17 years old and i like to story games like genshin impact but majority of my friends does not even know what is genshin or related games . But i think it will change soon as people will become aware of much better games .

As an ex- CS compi player.... i agree with everything you said but yea many of us do not have the money to buy the AAA games which are sold at the cost of 50-150$, I bought gta 5 and forza horizon 5 with my CS earnings and that's it, and I was heartbroken when forsaken did what he did.... it broke our esports community.

It is so sad to see Hemant leave his KZread channel as He was doing an amazing job with how he presented the game , I myself tried to do that with multiple story games but in the end the audiance for this type of content is just not there and it affects other gamers like us. There are so many games that I would like to have a larger playerbase in India like Apex , Overwatch 2 , Fortnite and Modern Warfare but that is just something that seems impossible. Sure there are games like Valorant that I used to play and love but after a while I feel like it is important to go to other games and experience those too.

Found this video quite late. But completely agree. I loved theRadBrad, I remember watching the entire walkthrough of WatchDog 1 & 2, Uncharted, God of War. The thing is kids watch them alot. Most of the kids watch techno & mythpat and fleet. Some streamers who have pcs worth lakhs still play mobile games and just play them for like years. Neither they take initiative to play different games. And just play the same old game.

Such a well analysed video Vedant. It's a shame that India, despite being such a big market for gaming, we have the most number of immature gaming audience.

as an old pc/console gamer since 2008 12:45 me exact wahi cheez apne explain ki jo me feel krta hu and yes mujhe warzone/fortnite/pubg pc khelna pasand hai and even maine mw1 , black ops cold war , mw 2 purchase kra tha bcoz i am a call of duty fan but kabhi bhi woh games ka multiplayer version khel hi nahi paya due to 24:30 factor. i'm bored with valo and cs and now mostly i'm playing story based games such as rdr and ghost of tsushima and sometimes single player games like wwe 2k24 respect for rakazone jisne variety pc gaming ko carry kiya hai bhot saalo se

BattleKing is a great gaming youtuber. He plays PC games and immerse his audience in storyline but even he stopped playing Elden Ring which is a great game because audience couldn't see grinding level or equipment to fight bosses.Audience prefer video with just an hr or so .... PS: I didn't watch full video when I commented that but you mentioned BattleKing in this video

I really appreciate this video. Ever since I finished playing GTA San Andreas as a kid in my shitty pc, I've been a huge fan of gaming as an experience. The emotions that you go through, the fun and excitement, rage ane satisfaction you gain while playing these pc and console games can be very therapeutic, atleast it has been for me. Games like Baldur's Gate 3, Elden Ring, Assassin's Creed, Last of Us, Alan Wake, Witcher are lives that I've lived. Whole experiences. I watch both Radbrad and Luke Stephens and a bunch of other gaming creators. Mai toh bohot khush hu ki someone is shedding light on this. Its not a very important issue but it does matter to me in a weird way haha. Thank you and Good job!

I've always been a huge COD fan. Back in 2010-2011 when i couldn't get my hands on a PC or even a copy of any COD title i always used to watch "TheredBrad" for his full walkthroughs of the storyline. I found immense joy knowing even though I can't play the game, i can still enjoy the experience.

Indian audience needs to understand difference between professional gamers (one who plays eSports) and content creators as they are just playing to entertain audience there are many games apart from PUBG like Valorant, Counter strike and many more but we are not recognizing gamers who plays these games

I'm am an Indian Game Dev too ...... I'm 19 years old currently and have been making a lot of PC Game Videos But for a long time had to shift focus to Valorant kyuki audience toh aur kuch dekhti hi nahi. Very Good Video. It actually brings up a lot of pain points in the gaming in India Currently. Also one more point that people don't really talk about is how all AAA Games nowadays are becoming very shit (for a lack of a better term) and that too being around 3-4k INR. I hope India goes in the right direction. because Gaming is the 21st Century Artform

what a well made video 🔥 you legit took my years of thoughts about the gaming community in india and portrayed it in the best, presentable way possible 90% of the 'gaming' youtubers are just entertaining youtubers, disguised as gaming youtubers, there are very few REAL gaming youtubers who dish out content at the level of overseas youtubers, best example is BBS, even after knowing his channel is dead and not getting the views he expected to get, he never stopped trying out new games and thats why the real audience never left him and the other reason the youtube gamers dont try out new single player games cause they dont got the skills for it, they still play the same game over and over again for years, games like elden ring, rdr2, last of us, uncharted series, god of war series, they just cant play games like this, they dont got the dedication for it, and even if they did, the content would be boring af, the audience retention rate would be sooo low a well made video brother 🗣🔥‼

I remember seeing many shows and seeing competitions about E-sports in china and everytime I just used to think "why something like this is not in india?" I agree that most of the so called gamers are not even real gamers because they don't care about the experience or exploring they are just there for entertainment (which is not wrong) but still I would love to see more gamers exploring new games instead of following the trend. I am hoping for the best for more E-sports shows and India being represented at international level 🤞

It's just the truth. Audience is just not interested in anything else. I started my channel as a variety gamer but if I switch from my most viewed contents which was FORZA HORIZON 5, nobody watches it. So I gave up on this channel and even today although I don't have many subscribers the subscriber count is still going down. I hope this changes and people appreciate all games and give an actual review to the youtuber about the games they play rather than just ignoring the channel.

Wish I did not stopped playing PC games in 2004, I had 100s of games collection at tht time.

A lot of "gamers" who stream in India don't even know how to stream, they just have a big facecam, no overlay, boring layout, and dont even READ chat!! I mean, don't stream then right? They'll quickly put a donation goal begging for money but dont really value their audience and it shows so evidently! 101 on how to NOT grow a community LOL! Most importantly, I have not seen a SINGLE gaming streamer who is not insecure about sending their viewers to a new streamer as a 'raid' to help new people in the community! I watch Twitch a lot and I love the mentality of a 'community' there within streamers, they raid small streamers without thinking about what they will get in return from them, Yaha bas ek doosre ko neecha dikhana hai and apni khud ke muh se khud ki hee achayi karni hai LOL. I still dont understand how most of them have constant 1500 watching, be it 2am or 2pm but when they announce "Hi guys I will be streaming on twitch now come join" and when they stream on twitch rigth after that, they get only 8-9 watching LOL What magic is this? Ye YT mei viewbot hota hai kya LOLL I've been streaming ART on Twitch as an Indian streamer and its pretty chill there, people will watch you for your personality and not specifically what you play or do as long as you are interacting. It will take India 9837339 years to get out of the self obsessed streamer mindset IMO where they feel if they promote a fellow streamer they might steal their viewers HAHHA. They live in a bubble, where they only talk alot and do very little. KEKW P.S: Its my opinion and my experiences, yours may differ :)

I have been gaming since the mid nineties, and quite frankly I absolutely agree with the explanation here. There are so many points you mentioned which resonate with what I have experienced, specially in the last 6 years, plus gaming being a "time waste" by elders, along with teenagers hooked to pubg and nothing else and calling themselves gamers. It was equally sad and irritating to witness the trends but audience plays a big role. I too follow radbrad, and creators like him would not really work in India, atleast for a while because high end PCs, consoles are indeed luxury items for the audience which quite frankly consists of young people in the lower income group. Perhaps gaming influencers and companies can look into this issue and try to work on this specially reducing crappy/cringy content.
